Leonhart > UnlistedLeaf

I try out every channel. But I stop watching as soon as they do the ‘card trick’ so the rare is at the back.
Cut this bullshit out, rip the pack and ignore the commons, go straight for the 5th card from the back (4th excl. code card) and move it! Any full box opening taking more than 6 min is waste of time.

They gotta drag the video past 10min for dat ad revenue, some of them literally say in the video I’ve got to keep talking for a bit to reach 10min lol

UnlistedLeaf is still one of those YouTubers that splits up booster box openings into 4 parts last I saw. It takes me back to 2009-2012 before everyone started opening booster boxes like they have nothing but money to spend.

I also hate when people do the card trick, I like to imagine that its myself opening the pack as a kid and it seems so unnatural to shuffle the order of the cards around

Really? I found a new hobby besides reporting eBay listings. Reporting YouTube videos that drag for reveneu

Unnatural and besides that; more shuffle is more surface damage. So all they is adding risk of damaging the cards.

Not sure if that’s reportable, they’ve all got timers that they can see on the camera it’s pretty easy for them to make sure they reach 10min.

We should report because its too cringe kek.

Not as cringey as using “kek” in sentences… :face_with_spiral_eyes:

This video is pretty cool. Most of the prices that I could make out were pretty fair too. I’ve gotta say though, watching Leonhart interview the manager is not easy to do, you can’t take him serious and it takes you out of it.

Pretty cool indeed. But for YT views only. If you go visit a store like this, give the owner of the store some profit/income as well and state the address of the shop in the video description.

Daniel from Vintage MTG does visit LGS’ regularly and just gives out full address of the store he visits so they also attract more customers.

Yeh, that video also popped up on my homepage for some reason so i clicked and watched, not terrible but yeh still a little cringy as hes “describing” each item. Gotta say though, there are some pretty awesome things on the shelves there, those Skyridge Decks

Hey UnlistedLeaf, you’re about 3 years late man. Can’t tell if this is clickbait to put “PewDiePie” in the title or if he’s really struggling for content.

His views are on a slow decline and imo it was only a matter of time.

Now a days only his clickbait videos get a ton of views. I guess ppl are just getting bored of his fake reactions.

Oh well, time to become a reaction channel.

Hmm, called it?

He seems to be opening less and less actual TCG product I’ve noticed. I say it is because he has no real passion for Pokemon beyond it being his career and getting him nice cars and money all from his house.

He’s struggling to reach 100,000 views on recent videos too.

I think it’s kind of an overall trend. Deriums came in and basically killed opening videos.
New channels with original content grow very slowly at the moment. Old channels aren’t opening products like they used to, most are trying to diversify into TCG discussion/play or other things. Classic case of burnout I would say.

Deriums idea of merging all three channels will hurt them big time.

Personally, any slow opening/card shuffle/card trick opening bullshit is a quick hit on the back-button and seek for next video. I am so happy Deriums stopped doing that on the main channel and now pops a complete box in less than 5 minutes, like it should.

Due to this, the other opening channels seek the unusual stuff and that is what Leonhart been doing. It’s nice to see a pack opening with Ash Ketchum’s VA, but a pack opening in a deserted mall… yeah booooring.

I think Deriums is ruling all three type of videos and it’s hard to compete with.

Derium really changed the game of Poketubing. I remember when I began watching YouTubers open Pokemon cards in 2009 when WotC product was readily available and cheap as can be, along with new DP product at the time. I’d have to pinpoint that as one of my favorite times in my years of collecting Pokemon cards aside from when I was a kid and new to it. Everything was and simple and there was no need for clickbait or viral videos in the TCG scene… different times to say the least.

Lately I’m seeing a few Poketubers finally start to complain about it ever since Pokemon GO took off last summer. JordanJapan and WaterAndGrass/ABitOddish are fairly vocal on Twitter and certain videos.
