Legends: Arceus Advice

The BDSP thread along with the upcoming AZ Legends inspired me to start playing Legends Arceus after not picking it up for 3 years. I am very early in the story, but I am getting the impression that the story is advanced by completing missions and completing poke Dex objectives.

I find myself going out of my way constantly to fulfill objectives, capture additional Pokemon(Capture 25 Zubats?!?!?!??). Some objectives seem excessive because I would like to just beat the game at a relaxed pace without a completionist mindset. My questions are:

  • Is it possible to complete the Pokedex without being a completionist? I know this is a misnomer, but I don’t want to capture 25 of a single Pokemon if I don’t have to.

  • Are the red eyed pokemon 1 of 1. Are there any 1 of 1 Pokemon other than Legendary Pokemon? Do I need to trade to obtain the other starters?

  • Do you gather enough experience naturally playing the game or do you need to grind to advance the story and complete the Poke Dex?

  • How many hours to complete the game and do what is necessary to get the Azure Flute?

Won’t go into hella detail but will touch base giving you brief understanding to your questions so hope they help accordingly.

  • yes it is possible you just need to have each PokĂ©mon registered to research lvl 10 so just catching and battling will achieve that.

  • “red eye” pokemon are known as alpha pokemon they are bigger in size and a lot stronger then your regular pokemon but no they aren’t 1/1.

  • yes you gather xp quite fine along doing the story and roaming around catching/battling pokemon but there are definitely ways you can xp grind just need to watch some yt videos but playing normally is fine.

  • regarding how many hrs it takes it totally depends like you can speed run the game in like 26 hrs if you wanted although myself I have over 100+ hrs so I couldn’t tell you exactly how long it took me to complete the main story as I’ve spent a lot of time shiny hunting outbreaks to complete a shiny dex.

-regarding the azure flute you obtain it apon completing the “seeking the remaining plates” quest.

Hope this helped and if you need a hand with any Pokémon ect let me know if I got spares in my box happy to trade them to you to help out.
