I’d like to think it’s made a huge dent. But then I look and see how many I’m missing and it’s pretty insane. Lot’s of gen 2, 3, and 4 that I need to catch up on.
Another mail day. Another set of nice cards. Bought a couple of cards from an Indonesian seller and they decided to throw in some extra Eevee cards, which is awesome. I also found out there’s a new stamped Indonesian card, so I’m going to have to go back to them. I think I need the new Eevee and GX Pokemon Gym cards. From there, maybe I’ll grab some Umbreons but it’s not a priority really.
Now onto the cards. First Eevees. Really wanted the Toys Kingdom one to go with the KFC card, and decided since I’m paying for the shipping might as well grab the other stamped cards while I was at it. The seller threw in the Eevee Heroes Eevee which was a nice touch. Interesting fact that I just found out after looking it up online, but both Eevee GX are 132/SM-P despite having different artwork.
Now the rest of the Indonesian cards. The seller brought up the Glaceon GX since I had asked for stamped cards so of course I said yes (which I just found out I already have that Glaceon…). I thought that was going to be everything I bought and then he said he had an Umbreon card, and it was this one. I really dig this artwork so I couldn’t really say no. Then they threw in the Ribbon Badge just like the previous Eevee, so again, really cool by them.
Up next, not an Indonesian card. When putting together the album, I saw how bare my ex section is. I really love them, but the collection was seriously lacking. With this one, all I need is a Japanese Flareon and I should have all the Flareon ex. Might be my next focus point after finishing up Evolving Skies/Eevee Heroes.
I only have 1 issue with my purchases. I hadn’t left an empty spot for the Umbreon & Darkrai card, and I just finished putting in the cards in my new binder. Time to shift everything by 1 for probably the 10th time. Also, I found out that because I’m horrible at planning things ahead, I didn’t bother to check my spreadsheet to see that my planned collection is too big for my album. Didn’t find out too until I got near the end and started doing some mental math. Ordered a new one and hopefully it comes in soon so I can get that done and finally post some updated pictures of the collection.
Next update will either be the album update or a bunch of non-holos as I try to get them out of the way since they’re easier to find in good condition. Or maybe both. I’ve got more cards coming in. A lot of the cheaper non-holos. I finally made good on getting most of the cheaper English cards out of the way. I’m thinking maybe it’s time to start going either for the ex cards or maybe completing the WoTC era. Like I said, I’m horrible at planning things. I’ll probably go a completely different way
. Maybe I’ll get around to Skarmory again. Especially with the new release.

Right. Little update today. All the stores by where I live sell out completely if you’re not there on restock day within 2 hours of the store opening… Fortunately the Pokemon Center seems to have more stock than physical stores so I bought 1 of each Espeon and Eevee Fusion Strike Triple Boosters.
Decided to do that instead of buying them as singles since I could maybe get the Espeon VMAX, set Eevee, or maybe the Skarmory. You’d think I’d at least hit 1 of the commons, but my Eevee luck strikes again. Besides Eevee Heroes and Evolving Skies, I am cursed to never pull an actual Eeveelution. Literally the only one I have “pulled” is the deck cards for the Undaunted Espeon and my brother pulling the Gold Star Flareon from a pack he bought at Target once. Oh well, singles it is.

Got some more cards in and they finally pushed me over the 500 card mark so I decided I’d go ahead and post them instead of waiting for the rest of the stuff that’s in the mail. Never thought I’d have a collection this big. Also managed to get some better condition cards to the ones I already have for pretty cheap so I’m really happy there. A couple less scratched holos now.
First off, Flareon and Sylveon. I have a graded version of the Flareon tournament card because I wanted to own 1 graded card just to own it. Just a CGC 6. Nothing special, and I will eventually buy another tournament card in good condition to throw in the binder. In the meantime, I figured I’d actually get the normal card. Cool artwork and it felt weird having the special card but not the standard one. The Sylveon I have 2 copies of the other card from the half deck, so figured I’d get this and finish that off.
Up next, figured I’d work on the WoTC era cards and go Blaine’s Quiz #1 because of the Vaporeon silhouette in the background. Also decided to get the Jolteon from the same set as the Flareon above. Figured I’d give Jolteon some love because my Jolteon progress is seriously lacking behind the other 2 OG evolutions. My least favorite of the line but it felt weird seeing hardly any Jolteons compared to the rest. And then Fusion Strike Eevee. Couldn’t pull it from the packs I bought, so I just went to buy the single. Screw it.
Another Blaine’s Quiz #1. Got the 1st edition out of the way. Really making progress on WoTC, and my wallet is really going to start hating me, because the cards that are left are uhhh, a little on the high side. Oh well. Makes for a happy collection.
And some more Eevees. Again, working on the WoTC progress so finally got the 1st edition Jungle card. That technically just leaves the misprint as far as Jungle Eevees go, but the one person I managed to get in contact with wants $10k for the card, so I’m just not gonna include that one in the collection unless I can find something for a half reasonable price. Apart from that, the main standout is the Suicune half deck Eevee, and one of the Sylveon half Eevees. The rest is just easy cards to get out of the way.
On to some more Eeveelutions. Finally got my first holo Jungle Jolteon. And a 1st edition too. It looks like there may be 1 or maybe 2 faint lines on the holo so I’m really happy with that. And even with that, the holo still doesn’t pop as much as the Japanese versions. Really got shafted with those English versions I guess. Used the hidden fates reverse holo as time to rearrange that first binder since it turns out VMAX Climax reuses the Vivid Voltage artwork. And it has reverse holos (that look amazing). At least I didn’t have to shift that many cards. Just 2 pages I think.
And finally a call of legends Espeon. The holo is real clean on this one, and I really love the artwork on this. This is amazing. I think that in order that I opened the mail, this was card 500. I’d say it’s pretty fitting.
In other news, my second binder has been stuck in the same city for a week now with no update. One day I’ll get it and post those updated pictures. At this rate, I’ll be able to fill my almost completely empty pages by the time the second one shows up. Now that I’m past the 500 card milestone, I wonder how long until I get to the 1000 card milestone. Probably a while since the affordable English cards are out of the way at this point…

Right. So the binder finally came in. I managed to get all my cards in it, and then I check the news and see that the Start Deck 100 set list is revealed and there’s a lot of Eeveelutions in there. So it was straight back to reorganizing the binder… Oh well. This first post is going to be the cards that came in today, so they managed to sneak into the picture of the binders. The next post is going to be the binder pictures. Which I need to finish reorganizing the last couple of pages because of that new set.
Up first some Eevees. Got my hands on the Lt. Surge’s Eevee in my hunt to finish up the WoTC set and then grabbed the other 2 for pretty cheap (and then I realized I already had that Majestic Dawn Eevee…)
Up next some Vaporeons. Another non holo Jungle, so now all that’s left for that artwork is the no symbol I believe. Also grabbed a Dark Vaporeon to finish off that artwork. Can’t go wrong with a sun bathing Light Vaporeon either. After that, I went for some non holos I was missing and the VMAX.
Up next Jolteons. Just some Dark Jolteons. Finished off the artwork with that one.
Up next, the Johto pair. Was missing the VMAX for them so got them for pretty cheap.
A Majestic Dawn Leafeon. Nothing super special, but I like the artwork for it so I went for it.
And finally, English Sylveon VMAX. That should be all the normal English VMAX for me. Just got to get the Japanese Eevee and Vaporeon and then it’s on to the rainbows and alt arts. Yay!

Finally. Got both binders together. Reorganized the cards for what I know wont be the last time, and finally took pictures. Up first, WoTC. I got the first part down pretty well. I start to fall apart in the E-Series era, and I really need to fix that. I do have a JP Aquapolis Umbreon on the way, so it’s a step in that direction. It’s so nice to be able to flip through the pages and see everything that I have. And everything that I’m missing… I’m actually missing enough stuff that I can’t remember what was supposed to go where sometimes. I really should map it out some day. Oh well.

@ragingkraken, Nice start on the binder pics, also glad to see you took my suggestion on the Top Deck 1,024 binder. Are you leaving room for Japanese 1st edition and unlimited? How about serial numbers for the ex era cards that have 3 or 4 different serial numbers?

Figured splitting the posts up to every 2 gens might make it easier to navigate and keep track of stuff. Not a fan of how my first post looks but oh well. What’s done is done. Maybe I’ll clean it up a bit. Up next, Gen 3 and 4. This one is real bad. Missing a lot. Also not helped by the Eevee codes of which I only really have 1 of each. At least it should be a pretty quick and easy way to fill up some pages.

Leaving spaces for both 1st and unlimited, and for the different serial numbers. And thanks for the recommendation. These things are massive but it’s such a nice feel and look.
Gen 5 and 6 have a lot less cards, but at least the artwork is really great in this era. Do have to work on getting a better completion rate on this.

Right. On to the modern stuff. Despite not having 1st and unlimited there’s just so many cards. Lot’s of Gym Promos, lot’s of tournament promos and unique stamps, so I really go for the Indonesian and planning on some Chinese cards here. And then there’s Eevee Heroes. Those cards alone are something like 4 or 5 pages. Especially with the reprints in VMAX Climax and that new Start Deck 100 that even has 2 versions of the same V cards. The shift into more full art is cool, and is a real contrast to the WoTC era when it first started. Really cool contrast. Yes there really is a completely empty page on there. It’s meant for the Sylveon & Gardevoir GXs and some Eevee promos. Decided to include it since it will technically be progress.

Ah that one. It’s a nice simple artwork. And I feel like it goes well with the crosshatch pattern on the championship card version.

So I’ll start by saying that I realized I screwed up and forgot to leave a space for EX Sandstorm Flareon in my binder. So time to move most of my cards… Again… This time I’ve decided to map the binder out in my spreadsheet to hopefully not miss cards and at least, make it easier on me when I have to shift them, because I know I know it won’t be the last time. Oh well. I was going to have to move them anyway because I bought an unexpected German card when I saw it for about half of what it normally goes for. So I guess in the end it pays off to start shifting my cards. But that card hasn’t shipped yet so that’ll be for another post.
For now, I’d like to thank @eeveeteam for going through my pictures and seeing what I was missing and seeing if he had any of those cards to sell to me. Really helped out a bunch. I just wish I could put them in my binder, but then I’d have to take out almost all of them after I’m done mapping my binder. Anyway.
I’ll start with these 2 cards. I had bought them before I had posted pictures of my binder, so they showed up way before the main cards did. That’s why they get their own little pictures. At least they’re some nice cards.
On to the main set of cards from eeveeteam. It’s a lot of cards, but I was really slacking on my Japanese cards, so it really knocks out a large chunk. Especially the Eevees with the different codes. Just finding some of the specific codes in English is a pain, so I can’t imagine what it must be to look for them in Japanese.

Right. Time for an update. This looks like it will probably be the second to last one for the year. There’s some more cards that have been in the mail for some time now, so hopefully they come in before the end of the year.
But for now, I’ll do with this awesome haul. Most of it has been shipping since around Thanksgiving, and it all showed up within 2 days of each other, which is actually pretty nice.
I’ll start off with the big one. Finally got my first holo Skyridge Umbreon! In German. I found it going for about half of what German ones normally go for, so I didn’t think twice and pulled the trigger. Has some minor scratches on the holo that can be seen but don’t really detract overall, so overall, I’m really happy with the card. I also love that it doesn’t have the e-reader logo since it’s not an English/Japanese card. Makes it feel special. This also makes it the best card in the collection. It’s my favorite Umbreon artwork, followed closely by the VMAX alt. I’m going to spend so long looking at this. I spent so much time looking at the non holo, and now I finally have this. I don’t even look for swirls, but in this case, the fact that it has a swirl right under the Eevee icon is a nice little touch that I didn’t see in the listing picture.
Now, on to the other cards. First off, the no holo Jolteon. Nice pick up. Jolteon may be my least favorite of the Eeveelutions, but I really think they really did Jolteon dirty with this artwork. It just looks wrong. It took me forever to realize that it’s right paw is up front under it’s head, and not 3 legs. This is probably my least favorite of the Jolteon artworks. But since I saw that no symbol for cheap and went for it.
On to Light Flareon. I really love the artwork on this. Real good use of colors and the whole “Light” theme.
Up next, mainly a bunch of Espeons and Umbreons. Realized that I had a lot less Espeon cards than I’d like, so I went for some. Also saw the Japanese non holo Aquapolis Umbreon, and some Korean V/VMAX so I added them too. It’s Umbreon. Might as well.
Now, on to some Japanese cards. Got most of the Sylveon collection as a lot. They’re not exactly in great condition, but they ended up coming out to like $15 each, compared to the around $100 each that good condition ones go for. I’ll probably replace them eventually, but they’re not creased or anything, so I figured it would be fine as placeholders for now. The Reviving Legends Vaporeon was a nice purchase. Card is in pretty good condition, and i absolutely love that art sytle.
