Pokefam, we just picked up a shadowless Charizard for a deal that seemed too good to be true on Craigslist from a local seller.
We need your help determining if this is a legitimate base set Charizard.

Can anyone provide an argument for why this card may be fake? Not quite sure what to look for.

No argument for being fake as based on pictures it is real.

Is that a crease on the right side of the back in the last photo? If so, very unfortunate

It is not a crease. It is a very faint scratch and yes it is unfortunate. I took it in to a card shop to get a second opinion today. The card is soooo clean but I think it’s a psa 7. Centering was done by a blind man, and that scratch is gonna hold it back. I’m not sure whether I should send to BGS or PSA. Feel like BGS is gonna lay into me hard with the grades, but thinking maybe I could sneak a psa 8 and get lucky.
Either way, I valued it at PSA 7 when I bought it and we’re still ok as long as it doesn’t dip below that.
Still happy to have landed this card though for sure, and super happy it’s real. Thanks for the support poke gang
By the way… any advice on where to grade? Will BGS bend me over and show me who daddy is? If I could sneak a PSA 8 I’d be soooo happy. BGS cases look cooler though and the sub grades are cool. I say it’s centering 6, surface 8.5, edges and corners like 8. Overall I think that’s a 7 if those are the grades. Thinkin maybe if the dude at PSA got laid recently he might just give me an 8 and move on with his day. That would be dope
