Is this Charizard Base PSA 9?

Hey all,

Links didn’t work the first time so lets try this again. I am considering submitting to PSA for the first time and would like a baseline for what constitutes a PSA 8 vs 9 vs 10. I have a base set Charizard which I believe is a 9, and a Lugia Ex which I believe is a PSA 10. I would appreciate input from PSA veterans on if I am far off or not.

Charizard FrontCharizard BackCharizard has slight whitening down the left side of front, and a tiny white dot on lower back left corner which leads me to believe it is a 9.
Lugia FrontLugia Back
Lugia has no damage/scratches/fingerprints on front, but some small whitening on lower left back corner. Is this minor enough to still be a 10?

They look good but you will only know if u submit.

No way anybody can give an accurate opinion based on pictures. They’d all be guesses.
This link will give you psa’s parameters:

All anybody can tell you is how best to evaluate a card. Put the card under direct, intense light and rock it back and forth. There should be no readily visible surface imperfections.

On average, PSA tends to catch surface imperfections and downgrade a card more often because of them. The white dot on the back is still well within PSA 10 parameters if the rest of the card is very nearly spotless.

There’s no way to know for sure without actually sending it in.

From what you’re telling us and what I’m seeing I’d say Zard: 8-9 and Lugia: 9-10.

You picked some good cards so you’d be looking at $100 value minimum with some nice upside.

One thing I will say is that it’s better to be harsh when you pregrade… just so you don’t get disappointed every time.

Thanks for the input everyone! I’ll look at the link that Gary sent and let you all know how they do when I get them back.
