I recently purchased a card over $800 shipped to my PSA Vault from China and I am wondering how do I pay the import fees if there are any? I would really not want the package to bounce because its going to PSA and not directly to me.
You probably want to check with psa directly how they plan on handling it but they may have to wait to see what the fees will be, if any, because it could range from 0%-350% depending on the specific day it is processed or what specific agent processes it.
Thank you, I will ask PSA but I am sure it will be fine. I heard I could pay import fees on the carrier website before delivery but not sure if that is true.
Keep us informed please
I got the answer from my PSA rep who has been helping me with the Cynthia fiasco, so PSA will inform you that there will be Tariffs and/or Custom fees due and you’ll pay it. I was told to not send cards internationally right now if the card is NOT ENGLISH, but since I already did it he told me they’ll just notify me if I have to pay any fees, there is a custom code to use to bypass customs if the card is English. Here is more Info:
-
For any cards that are not “trading card game” - this would include any sports card or non-sports card that isn’t playable, like Marvel, Topps Chrome Disney, or Topps Star Wars, to name a few - you can send these to the PSA Vault, business as usual, using customs code 4911.99.60 (printed material).
-
The same goes for any “trading card game” cards that you know have been manufactured in the United States, like North American Pokemon. You can use customs code 9801.00.10 for those, and send them to the PSA Vault.
-
Do not send any trading card games that weren’t manufactured in the US. This would include, without limitation, Pokemon that is not North American Pokemon, Lorcana, Magic: The Gathering, or One Piece. We ask that you pause sending any such items to the PSA Vault at this time.
Hope this helps!
P.S. Yes I marked myself as the solution
Interesting that they base it on language of the card as there are both English cards made in Europe and other language cards made in the US. Ironically to my knowledge if you wanted to be 100% sure the card was printed in the US the only language guaranteeing that currently would be Latin American Spanish.
