Intense Charizard colors

I know there’s been threads about color variation in base set Charizards in the past. I’m curious what are people’s thoughts on this picture I found in a recent Ebay auction. I know there are Zards that are “rubys” that have a deeper red background, and the Charizard itself is darker orange. But I haven’t seen something as striking as this before, where the Charizard is very dark orange, but the background is relatively much lighter. Curious if it’s just the seller’s lighting and camera settings or if certain Charizards look like this.

It’s not fake if that’s what you’re asking

Let’s get into the weeds here. Yes, lighting and background reflections can be tricky. That plus the white balance and the camera used make for a tough call. That said I believe that one is from the same block of sheets or at least is most similar to the first two below. The red of the HP is very vibrant looking, probably because it’s in contrast to the background of the card template which has a more pinkish red to it relative to most variants. The border is closest to the more yellow ones and the holo background will be a bit closer to a true red versus the typical red-orange.

Thank you for for that detailed explanation and diagram to boot. I think the pinkish red template verusus the red holo has a cool effect. Kinda makes the art pop out more.

In reply to KingBoo64, nah I wasn’t asking if it’s fake. I know it’s real, was just asking about the coloring. I usually don’t see a very gentle red blush background but such a pronounced red holo/Zard art.
