This post is too long. I guess I’m just asking if anyone has actual evidence that the username is the issue and it’s not just reasonable speculation?
Has an account been removed without Pokémon in the name?

There’s tons of examples outside of Pokemon. I don’t know how much this current “wave” of suspensions goes outside of Pokemon
I know it sucks but I’m not really sure what people expect… Specifically for the people who are trying to create a brand around their username, it’s never a good idea to have the basis of your brand be someone else’s intellectual property
Yeah this has always been weird to me. Like people making logos, business cards, banners, etc using a pokemon related name and pokemon in the images. If I did that and for some reason I got the book thrown at me I’d probably just be like “Well we had a good run”.
I wonder if this will effect YouTube channels too
Pokerev just got banned, I’ve looked on my other two non-pokemon related accounts and nobody has been banned. On my Pokemon one there are literally thousands!
Wow that is pretty major! It’s gotta be a combination of automoderating key terms and account activity.
Yeah it’s possible they tweaked the auto-moderation algorithm in a way that is very sensitive to pokemon accounts? Either intentionally or not. This type of automation can be a bit unpredictable
I reckon so, what is frustrating is that users are given no warning or easy grounds to appeal. This literally effects peoples livelyhood.
Hopefully Meta will pull their fingers out and reverse the bans once it becomes clear what is and isn’t allowed.
Really??? I’m instagram or YouTube?
Nintendo pov
gemmintpokemon was banned too
Edit: jk
I think he dodged it! https://www.instagram.com/thegemmint/
Oh good, I went to gemmintpokemon
and it says the user was unavailable (banned) I guess whoever took over his username was banned
Jesus Louise!
Are there any examples of this happening to non business accounts?
