I tried to make top 10 of biggest collectors in the hobby

I didn’t put him because I know scandal with fakes with him and still private. But assuming stuff is real a top 20 collector for sure.

In terms of accomplishments I would have the top 3 consist of David Persin, Gem Mint Pokemon and Scott. These three have achieved goals that no one else in the hobby has even gotten close to (as far as I’m aware)

I have a soft spot for Persin but of course I am biased. It’s a shame he doesn’t make more Youtube videos, he really has a knack for it.

Urs or Tetraninja should probably be beating a few people on that list.

The list of the more private collections is deep

Also, feel free to comment a counter list this is 100% my opinion. Just trying to come up with a list based on alot of the Public info known. Obviously, private collections out there we don’t know about or know only some. I just figured be a fun discussion. Very slow day at the office.

Gotta stay in the darkness, at least until we bury our collections safely in the basements of our houses.
Are you ready with concrete?

All of their collections are insane, but I prefer niche passions like @thatpikachuguy, @Quuador, @thefiercestorm, @joponnes, @jonbo, @firebirder31, definitely @stagecoach, maybe @cig, and dozens of other people. Pretty much any collection that shows purpose and cant just be replicated with a reasonable amount of money in a short period of time. But I suppose I’m biased thinking like that as a top 10 deck collector :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:.

I am very flattered and humbled.

I’ve had the graphics made for a collection thread for literally months, but have not made the thread because the time I used to have a lot of desktop access has become much less predictable. I really need to make that thread. I owe @brendantheclayboy after all this time.

I don’t follow him on anything so I’m not up to speed… does Logan Paul have a big collection? I know about the Illustrator and all that of course but I didn’t realize he collected. I have a hard time believing a lot of these big name celebrities have bigger/better collections than folks like Scott, Gem Mint and Rusty.

Well… at least on e4 you are

First of all, it’s hard to define what exactly is meant by “big” collectors.

However, I think you overestimate some of the Poketubers and underestimate private collectors. In my opinion, some people on this list (e.g. Scott, Gem Mint, Dubsy or Rusty) very likely belong on it. Others not so much (e.g. Logan Paul, yes he has the PSA 10 Illustrator and a lot of 1st Ed Base, which is a lot of money but not a really big impressive collection).

I think there are a lot of big fish which just keep their collection private. Best example is the video of Leonhart where he purchased the big collection from Japan consisting of dozens of incredible cards.

Yep, I’ve heard that same story from my LGS. They bought singles and some sealed VS boxes from her.

I think it should be a top 10 of accomplishments.

I mean he owns psa 10 illustator, about 7-8 first Ed boxes, a bgs 10 zard, several psa 10s of the big 3 and then I know he has a several hundred slabs of everything from base set through at least rocket. I’ve heard he also owns a few neo boxes as well. But he’s been private about his purchases outside of 1st Ed and illustrator but monetary wise I would say it’s one of the most valuable.
