I decided to take slabbing cards into my own hands

We all know about the annoying turnaround times with grading right now, so I decided to take it into my own hands. These are my first runs at it right now with normal crappy scizors and plain white paper, but I’m hoping to gety significantly better results with my bulk straight cutter and using cardstock for the labels.

The slabs are held in place my carefully applied super glue. It would take some serious beating to unweld them.

Here’s my base charizard (not a big fan of the label, I’m not creative):

And here’s a sports card I did with a much better label IMO:

I’m hoping with some more experience in Photoshop I can make the labels cleaner as well.

If y’all have any ideas for better Pokemon labels, please help me out!

Definitely a nice idea for cards you’re never going to sell and aren’t worth paying express to grade :slightly_smiling_face:

100% Better slabs than PSA

Not something I would ever think of, looks cool and very creative good job

Where did you get the cases?

this is wicked.
I actually can’t believe no one is making a non-psa case like this…
i feel like you could make a fortune doing it.
one-touch cases etc. suck imo and often lead to damaged cards.
I’d pay for this service.

cool labels too!

Nice. Photo paper will make them pop!
