Yep; dubbed screenings of the Japanese release in North America only on Sun-Mon, 11/5 + 11/6 and only at select theatres at that.
Low chance that these cards aren’t overproduced but the release could be limited enough to keep the cards in check…will still likely be thousands upon thousands floating around though.
This shows that they added the 11th and 14th but they won’t be giving a card away on those dates. I’m guessing you could probably still get it from someone there if they are cool.
I had to ask for mine. If you don’t ask it seems like they don’t hand it out. Mind you I came to the first showing in my area that was available which was 12:30.
So there is no holofoil on this card whatsoever or is the engraving “The pOkemon Movie, I choose you!” at least have reflective/gold material embossed unto the card?
Same, they scanned my ticket and i was like…can i get a card please? and only then did they give it out. I feel like the employees are hoarding them so the could take tons home themselves. That’s why you see so many people around this forum go quiet when asked “where did you get so many promo cards”, prob nicked them lol
i just need 1! I thought I could see the movie on the 14 (its showing) but i read that i likely will not get a card!! I may still call the theaters and ask. In the meantime I will gladly trade for one!
Give it a try. A friend of mine asked for two cards after the screenings for me and him and got them for free.
Btw. it’s common practice for theatres to throw promotional material away after screenings are over. If you go and ask they may sell or give things away for free like the cards or posters.
So I was able to go see it with some friends and I have to admit we had a blast. Somehow, with all the new crap that has happened in Pokémon over the years, a lot of it felt very nostalgic. (SPOILER ALERT)
-Liked the reimagining of the first episode, liked the new guy that’s in place of Broke, found the girl annoying.
-Charmander story was harder to swallow, in fact, I felt it was so sad that it took away from Butterfree’s departure.
-I was shocked the covered the death of a Pokémon in a character’s back story, I feel like they went into an area that Pokémon has refused to go since the Lavander Town stuff and that was pretty cool.
-There is one part that Pikachu speaks that will fuck u up but the rest was awesome.
