How to Ask PSA to Change the Description on a Label?

Hi all!

I had a quick question. For those who have requested PSA to change a label description, how did you go about it? Did you ask them simply, then provide supportive evidence? Did you blast them with a wall of text showing conclusive proof?

I’m trying to get a distinction made for 2 cards that share the same label even though one is a misprint version with an incorrect art, and the other is the corrected version (this is Yugioh, not Pokemon).

I asked PSA this last week and a representative finally got back to me and told me that they do differentiate them but only with spec numbers that are NOT part of the label (it’s only differentiated in their online grading system).

However, almost all of the cards are lazily put into the Misprint version, even though the Corrected version is much more rare.

How do I clarify this detail and request a change? I want to go about it as professionally as possible.

Thanks,

Azul

@azulryu, I have no idea to do this, but I also have a card that needs a label change. I have a PSA 9 Error 1st ed ivy pikachu from jungle set. Only issue is it was not given the 1st ed on the label. It was instead given the normal league promo label. Not sure if it can be changed easily or not.

If a PSA label was mislabeled and they have a correct label available, you can resubmit it to PSA. I would email them with pictures about the issue and they should be able to relabel it.

My issue is only because two cards exist for the same label and there’s no physical way of knowing that the cards are different outside of the artwork.

I don’t think there is any hidden technique. Your best is to bother them until they decide to fix it I guess?

Try JContreras@collectors.com

Jackie was very helpful for a label issue i had. Not the same issue you had, but she was easy to work with.
