I recently bought this 1st edition shining gyarados that is not labled 1st edition, i have looked up the number and it does not say 1st edition. What should i do?

I would contact PSA via phone [if possible] and explain the situation to them. They should fix it up 
Would they have to fully regrade it or just fix the mislable

It wouldn’t go through grading again…just relabeling.

This is a very common mistake. There’s a ton of shadowless cards that passed as unlimited or shadowless labeled 1st edition,etc…
I would probably keep it as is unless you call them and they somehow offer to pay shipping and whatnot.
I do have a question on this same topic. Do you need a PSA subscription to send in mislabeled card or one with a questionable grading?
No problem with it that i can see i just know regrading costs $ but have been told that fixing a mislabeled does not. I got this from pwcc and just thought it was odd since this is only my third graded card, as i just recently got back into the hobby 2 months ago
I had the same issue. I emailed them and didnt get a response for almost 2 months, when they emailed me I explained the mislabel and they were very nice about it and sent me a fedex label to ship it out to them and fix it free of charge. IMO call them unless you wanna wait a couple mouths
