Ever receive a decent offer from folks with 0 feedback on your eBay listings? What is your policy? Accept or decline?
I think depends on the value of the item. Personally, anything in the 3 digits and I would probably decline.
If it’s authenticity guarantee, I do not care. If they have single digit feedback but all are buying solid cards I don’t care either.
It’s actually a very common question, rightfully so
Most of the largest seller advise just to treat it like a normal sale, especially if it’s not a particularly high value item. With the authenticity guarantee, the high value items are now protected too if you’re shipping within the US
I agree with this. If there’s an authenticity guarantee I know I’m guaranteed to get paid either way. Even if the buyer tries to pull some shady stuff ebay will cover me.
Agreed with others here. The high-end cards will be covered through the Authenticity Guarantee (PSA for graded, CGC for raw).
We all started out at 0 and someone trusted us. ![]()
If they are from mexico or south america and the card is being shipped untracked I instantly know im screwed. I had to block buyers from those areas because 99.9% of the time when i shipped to them the buyer would claim no delivery
Haha, what I’m taking away from this is I should search a bit more
thank you for the links.
I actually don’t mind at all especially because things are always changing like the authenticity guarantee is a perfect example. If you wanted to see what people have said across the years there’s a lot to choose from
I decided for this case, I would just message the person and ask them to tell me a little bit more about their collection and their interest in the card before I hit accept. Ended up having a really pleasant conversation!
Fingers crossed that it works out for you! ![]()
Pretty much this.
A decent chunk of all my sales are 0 or very low feedback buyers and while I have noticed some correlation with low feedback and unpaid/cancelled orders, I can’t really say that they’ve been prone to issues after the sale more than higher feedback buyers. It may also be worth noting that anyone checking out as a guest will show as 0 feedback. Just make sure to check all the boxes on your end for ebay’s seller protection and authenticity guarantee (which you should be doing anyways).
A part of me wonders if any of the 0 feedback buyers are people I’ve blocked before ![]()
I don’t have offers enabled, so I don’t get to filter, but all the problems I’ve had have come from buyers with large enough feedback that you wouldn’t immediately suspect anything.
I’ll add that their ‘feedback left for others’ is probably more important than feedback they’ve received.
100% this - I check feedback left for others regularly. Past behavior often predicts future behavior.
One hundred percent agreed about their feedback for others, especially considering that you can’t leave negative feedback for a buyer. The only thing you can do is leave a positive with a negative comment, but sellers rarely do that.
I don’t think these people comprehend the fact that we as sellers check this stuff.
As for the OP, as some others have already said, I’ve experienced just as many problems from people with a lot of feedback than people with little to no feedback at all. As a matter of fact, I have even found that high-feedback accounts are more likely to send a low-ball offer than low-feedback accounts. That could of course be entirely anecdotal on my end, but it is something that I have personally experienced.
I had never thought of this before, this is an excellent point!
This is the first thing I check whenever a buyer makes an offer. I have turned down offers I otherwise would have accepted for this reason.
I honestly haven’t had a single issue with a no-feedback buyer before. I wouldn’t worry about it.
