How did you come up with your username?

So, your nieces and nephews are not hackers. Probly a good thing. Unless they’re white hats… then probly bad they don’t know.

WOW did that take me back! I had almost forgotten this style of message board. neat! Thx PFM!

I’m a number theorist. 2357 is for the first four prime numbers 2,3,5 and 7. 2357 is also a prime it’s the 350th. It’s also the key to factoring oops there goes cryptography. It’s also the key to the universe so
Think matrix rain

You’re free to pronounce it any way you’d like. :person_shrugging: I’ve already seen 5+ different pronunciations of my username anyway.

I figured I’d just include the intended pronunciation for those who didn’t knew yet.

Or im a certain “state of mind” you pushed the left corner of the keyboard and typed chansey, not noticing you did hit that upperleft corner?

I will always picture you as an actual slime when i see your posts, so it’s nice to get recognised by your idol :sunglasses:

About my username, i lacked a proper nickname for so long but people kept calling me with some combinations of items and my actual name (Johannes is an easy name to replace the beginning with different finnish words like piponnes, kepinnes etc). One time someone called me Joponnes since i rode then a famous finnish bike brand called Jopo and it felt immediately something that was me and just Jopo as a short version of the nickname was even better and easier. In a lot of places people call me that and i’ve actually introduced myself as Jopo in few places where people might not even know my actual name. But online Jopo is often already taken so i’ve constantly been using the longer version of my nickname since it’s very unique and always free for grabs.

I actually love vampires and the entire aesthetic around them. Not that Twilight stuff, but I’m talking vintage Dracula/ Nosferatu movies. Even visited Bran Castle, which was home of Vlad Tepes.

As I was making my account I was trying to think of a username so I was poking around some threads and looking at some of the other usernames and I saw @EnlightenedBulbasaur. I thought taking an adjective plus a Pokemon name was a good idea so I tried to think of something kind of funny to go alongside Bidoof.

I’ve used it since I was about 14 or so. Jax because of my name, Lax because I played Lacrosse, and 21 because I initially created it to access yahoo chat rooms and wanted the girls to think I was older than I was. 18 sounded like a fake age, so I went slightly older.

It has just stuck since, and I use it for a ton of things even though I no longer play lacrosse nor am I anywhere near 21 years old anymore.

Versiris is a combination of “versus” and “iris”. Versus because they were my favorite game strategy guides from back in the day (they injected a lot of humor that 12 year old me thought was hilarious)

and also I just think it’s a cool word. Iris because I do visual art, and eyes are cool. Iris is also a pretty name, imo.

I shorten it to Versy for convenience and also because it sounds nice.

Mine is just the first initial of my first name and a truncated version of my last name.
Technically pronounced “eM-thirsty” but I’ve been called just “thursty” for most of my life.

lol you and me both, clever

Loved snakes growing up. Used to catch them every summer with my dad and have great memories of doing that together. Later in life, I got into American history. Ben Franklin wrote a piece where he believed the Rattlesnake embodied the energy and spirit of Americans in the late 1700s, which I loved. In an age where everything is twisted and taken out of context, I really enjoy going back in time to gain more context and appreciation.

Edit: This is more well known now but Benjamin Franklin originally wanted the Turkey, not the Bald Eagle to be America’s bird.

I’d like to share this. This is the positioning of the 2s 3s 5s and 7s that the shapes make and it produces a neat little beat. I’ve just done the first 16 and 32 quickly so you can hear how it progresses.
