Can someone tell me what those white spots are at the bottom and what’s causing it?
I have cards that seem to get these white bits on top and bottom over time.

Part of the cutting process I put it down to as you can get this from cards out of packs. If you are absolutely sure these werent there before it must be the fibres slowly shifting.
They weren’t there before and I have a whole stack of cards with the same problem. It seems to be happening with time. Could it be caused by high humidity?
Any change in environment will have some affect along with movement imo. Some fibres will be looser than others and make their way out. Im sure this is what happens.
Just looks like whitening (we call it 白かけ / shirokake in Japanese). Any wear to the edges will cause this. Many card shops in Japan won’t let you take the card fully out of the sleeve as chapping the edge of the card on the top edge of the sleeve can cause whitening, that and frequent handling is also a leading cause.
“White shadow” is kind of a really cool name for it
How was this card stored? on it’s own? In a stack? In the open?
