Hi all, I’m a pretty new error card collector and chanced upon this, and was wondering if anyone knows if this is an error? https://imgur.com/a/sSepRVM

It is almost certainly not an error card, and is likely just a sun faded card that was sitting at an angle under another card
how do you figure that? its faded on the front and back.
When it’s in a stack like that, especially if it’s on something painted white or above paper the sun reflects on the exposed part as well. It’s a fun thing to leave by your window if you want to try it
One of the only other things it can be is chemical damage but that usually has a lot more signs, especially bubbling
It’s not something ink would create on both sides, so that just has to be out
Hiya, I totally see the logic for it being sunfaded, but based on my knowledge, I actually haven’t seen many cards fading from yellow to this shade of grey. They usually turn beige or white (of course, please correct me if I’m wrong) - so is fading to a grey colour something that happens?
I did add some more pictures, if it helps: https://imgur.com/a/sSepRVM
I’m hoping the pictures do it justice, but to my naked eye, the “grey area” actually looks like it was either printed on that way or is how the material of the card might originally look like. Again, this is all based on my assumptions, so really seeking opinions on what might cause this anomaly haha.
Thanks again!
yes, the difference is that this is a vending card so it has a different surface. The main issue with it being a printing issue is that the colors that are missing on the front and back are different, and the back of the sheet was printed at a different time than the front of the sheet so it would not make any sense.
it’s possible a piece of tape was stuck on both sides of the card and removed a bit of the ink from both sides, you can look up how that looks on holo cards but with japanese cards you can peel ink off with simple scotch tape.
If I had to bet I would still really consider it fading or liquid damage, but for it to be liquid it would almost certainly not be as straight
