Help creating collection thread

Hey guys- i’d love to make an start with my collection thread, but not familiar with the coding here… is there maybe a post with codes/instructions on how to add pictures/spoilers/bold/cursivetext in your post?

I’d love to create something good’lookin like the neat articles from @quuador etc. & I can’t figure out that kinda stuff for the life of me…

I also use Imgur for photos. You can add a frowny or smiley faced Pikachu by creating emoticons with a colon and parenthesis.

Pictures is indeed something most people are confused with at first, so I’ll quote what I mentioned before here:

Explaining everything in detail for any other new members coming across this:

If you’re responding to an existing thread, you first have to click on the “Reply” (marked with green) so it shows the same rich text area as when you’re posting a new thread yourself :

Then you’ll have to use an image uploading website to upload your image to, like imgur.com/ or postimages.org/.
Then you use the direct link (ending with .jpg/.png/etcetera)

And then you can use the following button (market with red) to add it to your post:

As for some of your other questions, it’s not that hard. Just select the part of the text you want to make bold/recursive/underlined/larger and use the options in the bar above the text field (which can also be seen in the last picture above). Basically the same as regular MS Word.

If you hover over the other icons on this bar you can see what they are in their plain-text as well. Like the “Insert User Link”, where you can search for a user to tag (although you already did that in your question above with mine). Most of them are pretty self-explanatory.

The only semi-difficult thing is posting multiple quotes / parts of a quote, and text in between. In which case I switch to the BBCode part at the bottom to insert new-lines between the different quote-blocks, or to insert multiple quote-blocks. The BBCode part is the code behind the rich text field. I also use that part to insert spoilers usually, because I personally find it easier. But you can also just click the Spoiler-button on the bar (the last icon of the smiley with a finger before his mouth).

Thanks for all the help guy’s! It destroyed my sunday but I’m proud to say that i created a thread & have my first E-reader reverse set uploaded on Imgur- hopefully I’ll be deciplined enough to go trough with doing the same thing for my aquaplois and skyridge set. Have a great sundayy everyone
