If you just made a account on the E4 Forum, this is your BEST guide to all the basic features on the E4 Forum. Some of the stuff may not be covered here, as either it may not be important or didn’t fit into this guide.
By the end of this guide you will know
- How to Reply, like, and comment on a users post
- Creating your own post and adding special attributes to it
- Change your profile picture and username
- And more!
Without further ado, lets get started!
Getting Started
As soon as you activate your account, you should see these on the top right corner

How to manage your profile:
When you are in the forum, you’ll be provided with a set of pre made profile pictures
While these are great, most people would like to make their own profile picture, but how do we do that? We’ll first have to click the profile on the top right
We’ll review some of these later, but after you click you’ll come accross this dropdown
Quick Review on all of the features:

| Reply | This shows the replies you get on posts |
| Heart | How many people like your posts |
| The PM’s you get (We’ll cover this in another topic) | |

| Bubble | Will not cover in this article |
| Shapes | Notifications when you get a Badge or your topic was moved |
| Person | Shows the settings for your own profile |
Click on the person, and you’ll see these options
Most of these are self explanatory, and I would prefer you experiment with these. For now we’ll go to preferences
Changing your PFP:
After you click preferences, scroll down until you see a thing that says profile picture, and click on the pencil to the right of the photo
Scroll down until you see “Custom Picture” and click upload
Make sure to be creative!
Interacting with other’s posts:
The main purpose of the E4 forum is to communicate, so I’ll show you how to communicate on your page
Here are the main outlines you’ll usually see
Most are self explanatory, but the reply button is a bit different. the purple one replies to the entire thread, so make sure to use it for general responses (note if you click the share link it automatically copies.
How to watch a post
On the bottom left corner of a thread, there should be a bell that says tracking (or normal if you hadn’t replied to a post). You can change this from 4 settings:

| Tracking | You’ll see the post light up for new replies, but not pinged |
| Normal | You’ll only get pinged when someone replies to you |
| Muted | You’ll never get a notification no matter what. |
How to reply to another person
Replying to another person specifically is one of the most important parts of the forum, and pretty straightfoward:
1. Click the Gray reply button on the post
2 Type away!
How to like a post
This is also pretty simple! To like anothers post, find the gray heart button
And click on the heart!
Making your own thread!
Last but not least, you need to learn how to make your own thread! On the right of the E4 latest page, you should see a icon that looks like this:
Click on the one with the pencil, it should take you to this page:
Setting up your Thread
In order to be able to even start typing, you’ll have to do 2 things:
1. Type out your title (I reccomend it to be short and sweet
2. Decide what section you Category you want, and you can pick from:

| Articles | Making information for others to use |
| Grading | Talk about grading companies and/or overall grading |
| Grading, Questions | Asking questions about grading cards or companies! |
**After you’ve finished, start typing in the text box. there are a number of things you can use, but to keep it simple, I decided to keep it out. Should I make another thread on it?
