Has this slab I purchased been tampered with?

Hello Everyone,

I just bought this dream card of mine and noticed frosting on one of the edges. I don’t necessarily think it’s been replaced however it being an expensive piece I’d like to have more peoples opinions.

Thanks a lot!

David

No, it’s perfectly fine. A couple of mine have that amount of frosting just from shipping and being moved around.

If it’s keeping you up at night, you could always send it back to PSA to have it reholdered. But do be aware that comes with non-negligible risk these days (PSA regrading your card or even damaging it).

Congrats on the personal grail, Simian. Because of how the “welding” process happens, there are sometimes inconsistencies, but if tampered with, there should be a lot more than that, as well as abrasions of some sort. Plus, the label looks fine. So if the card matches the grade, and the label is legit, I’d say you have a siiiiiiick addition to your collection!
