Happy May 4th 2025

Star wars was a massive massive part of my childhood just like pokemon. Even though my love has somewhat faded since Disney ruined it overnight, it’s important to celebrate may the 4th.

Somehow I managed to keep this in decent shape since I was a kid in 2005!

Do you guys collect anything star wars?

Printed in the LA Times for Force Awakens. IDK if this is a unique or officially commissioned piece, but it’s cool.

May the Fourth be with you!

I haven’t done much recently with Star Wars (I’m very upset with Disney over most of what they have been doing. I haven’t really done much since they released episode eight, also everyone thinks they are a expert on mandalorians because they know what Beskar is and know a little of the Mandalorian history, this annoys me so much)

Anyway the point being when I was a kid and a teenager I was a star wars freak, I watched everything star wars analyzed the clone wars up and down as the episodes released, I watched the clone wars extensively when it released on Netflix I probably cried tears of joy, the point is I loved everything Star Wars up until Disney started getting a little to greedy and milked it for money.

I did come back for season 7 of the clone wars and hated half of it loved the other half, so much so that I physically cried tears when I saw this scene, all of my favorite 501st clones are now gone:( Jessie is probably the one I was most sad about he was in my favorites of all clones he was up there with waxer and boil who I loved to see their little ark, not quiet the 5s death scene but still sad

If you haven’t seen the clone wars I highly recommended it before you look at these two images

Also just so this message doesn’t get to long let me wrap this up, congrats on such a cool poster @wisewailmer, Revenge of the Sith is probably my favorite Star Wars movie right behind The Phantom Menace (you can’t argue with the palace fight scene between a master, an apprentice and a sith apprentice the choreography of the fight is so perfect as well they don’t do it like they used to)

2003 Clone wars is underated, this is my favorite character in all of star wars, Jedi Sha’a gi

I agree people like to say I’m being dramatic when I say Disney absolutely ruined it but it is night and day.

Revenge of the sith is really doing well with our generation nowadays, it is so action packed and fun to watch. I’m glad it’s growing on people who thought it was too cgi or crazy back in 2005 like my parents

I don’t collect anything Star Wars, but I have a lot of fond memories watching the movies and playing Battlefront II. I was a much bigger fan of Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter in terms of nerdy movie fandoms. Some of the Star Wars and Star Trek nerds that I knew were on a different plane of existence.

One my favorite memories as a kid was watching The Force Awakens trailer. I loved Kylo Ren’s design and I bought all the Lego sets from that 2015 fall release. It is unfortunate how the latter movies turned out but that doesn’t stop TFA from being one of my favorite movies of all time.

I’m also a big Lego star wars collector. I’ve been focusing on building my clone army but prices for minifigures are ridiculous for some of the older troopers.

May the fourth be with you all!

Not really a fan of the movies or the series as a whole but I love the various pieces of lore behind the Sith line, both Legends and Canon. Vitiate, Bane, Nihilus, Sion, Revan etc. The KOTOR storyline, the Jedi civil war, Nathema, the backstory of Tenebrous and Plagueis, all of it.

By the time any of it is turned into complete volumes of literary brilliancy or first rate movies on screen, the real world might actually resemble Star Wars.

Heck yeah

I love the original trilogy, Andor, Rogue 1, and prequels. Andor in particular has been one of my favorite shows in a while. It’s going to be tough deciding what to watch today

Not just Disney ruining it, but the current M.O. for large studios of buying and abusing proven IP instead of developing new franchises and celebrities, as was the previous approach. There are a slim few survivors - franchises that persist without being over-used and changed for clicks - but unfortunately, Star Wars is not one of them. We even see it a bit in PkMn, but thank god it’s not Magic.

Anyway, great post, @RabidSquirtle . And those last scenes brought a little tear to my eye. :face_holding_back_tears:
