For any Star Wars collectors, there are some quality figures in auction at Heritage.
I figured I would share this as most people don’t browse Heritage regularly. Some of the figures are pretty cheap for their rarity. It will be fun to see what they earn; one is already at $22,000!
Hijacking your heritage thread @smpratte to say there’s also the original art for an iconic vintage magic card from Arabian nights on heritage at the moment as well.
I feel like this is an easy $50k+ as you rarely see old, iconic, original art for powerful cards come on the market now as they’re all in private collections.
Haha … it’s definitely not normal and the card is banned in all sanctioned formats, there’s no other card like it. The only format you can actually play it is the player created and unsanctioned 93/94 format aka ‘oldskool’.
I truly believe that the 1977 inaugural release of the Star Wars figures is a GREAT investment today. Due to the Hans Solo misstep Lucasfilm Ltd will seriously step it up in these coming years. Don’t sell…buy;)
Steer clear of the 1993 orange card releases for now as well as subsequent releases.
It’s a shame pokemon are so strict with the artist contracts for the TCG art, it’d be cool to own some originals. Even when it comes to characters that are wotcs IP the artists are allowed to make and sell playmats, prints, sleeves etc or sell off the originals, like Terese is doing with her 5 comicon promo planeswalkers, this is the first one of the five for sale, Liliana: www.ebay.com.au/itm/LILIANA-UNTOUCHED-BY-DEATH-ORIGINAL-PAINTING-by-TERESE-NIELSEN-MTG-Magic/153098510094
Man … if the time walk original came on the market I shudder to think what obscene amount of $$ it’d go for, a few years ago the lotus original art sold for $300k. Shahrazad has gone from $22k to $36k just while I slept!
One thing I realized a long time ago is the original will always be the original. No matter how many times something is re-printed, the authenticity of the initial release will never change.
