Besides Pokemon, I’m a huge Star Wars fan. I was thinking about trying to build a graded collection of the vintage Star Wars cards that came out in the late 1970s. Maybe something like these: www.cardboardconnection.com/1977-wonder-bread-star-wars-trading-cards
yam and jeremy and a few others have shown them off recently-ish, they are def. on some peoples radar
They’re really cool, old as hell, and the PSA pop reports are pretty low. If I wasn’t all-in on this team rocket collection, I’d probably try to build that collection as well.
What’s the chase/grail card in the set? Which card is the wookie’s rookie?
I don’t know if there is a chase/grail card in the set. It’s just a set of 16 cards that have iconic photos from the original Star Wars. Probably really only for someone that wants the complete set.
Collected and completed that set many years ago and still have it:) The number 1 card in good condition was like a chase.
@garyis2000, that is awesome! One day I may decide to try and build that collection.
WOTC also did a bunch of Star Wars cards in the early 2000’s too
I always tried to find sealed boxes but they were rare
See… this is where things start to get dangerous. That really looks awesome. Could be fun to try and collect them all.
Does anyone else collect the Star Wars CCG cards from Decipher? I had a bunch that I can’t seem to locate (probably sold them when I was a kid and forgot I did that). The nostalgia from coming back into Pokemon has made me interested in grabbing some of these as well because I played the Star Wars CCG a lot for a few years. From eBay, seems as if there are collectors purchasing them, but not a lot of graded pop on PSA.
Just bought myself a PSA 8 1977 obi-wan kenobi #6 blue border
Now going to piece together the first series
Wish I got into it earlier but it’s got me pretty excited tbh ![]()
