Hey folks,
I just went to a local comic shop and bought a Gold Star Gyarados for my buddy’s birthday (his favorite mon)
The card was graded at PSA 7 and selling at $280 USD
As a newer collector and researching prices this seems like a good deal but I’m interested in whether or not this is a fair value for the card

Considering that the last two PSA 7s sold publicly for $500 and $399 (information from pokemonprice.com), it seems like you did pretty well for yourself!
Unless it’s a really overgraded PSA 7, that’s a very good deal.
nice! Yeah I looked at sold eBay listings and some other things and the price seemed great to me! I’ll use the place you linked next time too 
I wasn’t sure if maybe I missed something and ended up overpaying! I looked at the card and it seemed like a 7 to me! Pretty good shape with a few tiny Knicks
