Oof I haven’t noticed that. that sucks! I’ve been buying less and less from them lately because they’ve been rising prices like crazy. It used to be my number 1 place to buy new product from. Well, not anymore…
I think this store is a more a magic store that ramped up its pokemon exposure during the boom. I think they are facing difficulties and have scaled down their business. Nevertheless, that’s not the way to behave. They should build a strong base of customer instead of pushing them finding other alternatives and losing them forever, which is the case for you also for me.
Regarding this UPC, It’s a high end products and people who are buying those products usually follow and understand the market (i.e. the price of this product is falling fast due its high supply, risk of having more than 2 reprints, risks of seeing single prices of this box plummeting (that’s pretty much the only value of this box - the lose booster will hardly find buyers) … so it’s already at 180, most likely will be getting closer to MSRP at around release)
…and people did fomo (understandably when you are bombarded for weeks how great is the product if not the best ever 
), they will likely cancel their pre order (not pushing that, if you pre order, you should generally commit to it) to reposition themselves and save 100 of dollars at least for that single box.
There seems to be a ton of these being printed. I was able to wait to buy ubtil this week and I was able to nab 2 from pokemon center and 2 from target pretty easily.
Hot take, these are going to end up being sub $200 for 2+ years.

Available right now at both Pokémon Center and Target, I have in cart on both sites, but unable to complete purchase. Maybe others will have better luck

Preorders been up for like 6 hours. At the saitou event, the guy i was in line with told me I was making a mistake for not pre-ordering at 200+ lol

The only thing that matters for this UPC imo is the price the three zards gets in PSA 10. I expect that each will get more than $50 (and probably over $100) for quite some time making the box worth purchasing at even $200

I think the price will climb, as like in Norway or other places in Europe, the box cost 230$, so people from Europe might help the price up
