Buying a charizard 1st edition PSA 9 for $5300.
This was my biggest win of all time I think, or maybe second now (value wise).
I have some losses as well, but thankfully they’ve been offset by my wins.
I’m very grateful to still love and be in this hobby since I made this post back in 2018.
My best this year is probably the freshly graded PSA 9 Japanese Shining Tyranitar I purchased in the spring from my LGS. Only paid £250, and was shocked when I checked the sold prices of high grade Neo 4 Shinings afterwards.
My Lucky Charm this year will be my Umbreon Night Battle Promo 140/XY-P which I bought raw for around 2000€ and it graded a Pristine 10 which was unbelieveable to me. Last PSA 10 Sales are around 6000 USD
Wow, that card was only 2k when you purchased it? That is really an insane value since I think the average was around 4.5k if I remember when you posted your card as well. Massive congratulations. Really awesome card and really rare as well.
