Hey! Are you looking for a Jirachi ex PLAY psa 10 as well? I have an extra.
Someone’s going to eventually say it so… I think you’re off on scroll and Umbreon PLAY. I had a 13k offer on my psa 10 scroll recently & the few people with Umbreon are looking for closer to 30k. Your Espeon offer is solid though!
Hello, I can sell a Groudon, if you are interested send me a PM:
Last Groudon sold on Ebay (29 May) was 125 usd + shipping, I can sell it at 145 total (paypal G+S).
To @miraclegro, 's point, the PSA 10 Scroll that sold was one of the weakest 10s I ever recall seeing. I have hundreds of PSA 10 Pokemon cards and I’ve never had one with even close to a that much whitening on the back. It was just a total mis-grade. Sort of like what I imagine the “Shy Backside” Charizard that’s listed for $37k on eBay right now when it should be a $60k card might look like on the back.
Some people will argue about one tiny white dot on a corner being PSA 10 worthy or not but that one isn’t even remotely close to being argued. The back is covered in white and is basically separating from the front. One of the worst fuckup grades I’ve ever seen. And it still sold for $7k. The Scroll is an exceptional card that you have to pay an exceptional price in order to acquire.
Casual and pokemar actually had cards to sell. Do any of the people arguing about scroll prices have a scroll to sell and that’s why there’s a brick of comments about pricing? Not trying to play gatekeeper here but holy shit it’s every single buy thread!
I have no agenda. I don’t own a Scroll and have no interest in buying a Scroll.
If the potential buyer is saying that his offer for a 10 is fair based on the previous sold price, then it’s fair game for other people to respond by pointing out the problem with the listing.
Just to balance things out, I’ll add that even though the PSA 9 sold for $6k, of the 50 Scrolls that have been graded by PSA, 26 of them have been 10s. So I wouldn’t expect the 10s to get a crazy premium compared to the 9s like you have with some other cards.
If someone has one for sale and says they want x amount of dollars for it, that makes sense. 10 people arguing about what they speculate a scroll’s new pricepoint should be only muddles the buy thread and it’s basically how every single buythread manages to get derailed.
Most people responding have the actual scroll. Majority of these price offers are under market, some almost half in the case of the scroll. That is why these threads derail so quickly. I personally don’t bother responding as I sell all of these cards higher on eBay. Im just commenting to explain why the pattern occurs.
For sure, I feel you on that, but if the point of buy threads are for people to communicate what they’re looking for and what they’re paying, only three things are really all that helpful.
no one responds because the prices are too low and the OP bumps their prices
someone with the card that thinks the buy price is too low says “I have the card and I’d be willing to let it go at ______.”
someone with a card that is comfortable with his prices pm’s him or notifies him of another seller with the card at his price point.
The way I see it, the purpose of the E4 Buy Section should not be bargain hunting. If you want to do that, spend hours scrolling through junk listings like everyone else.
To me, the primary purpose of the E4 Buy Section is to give people an outlet to buy cards that are otherwise not available at “market price.”
The Buy Section in this case is offering the luxury of allowing the OP to send a message to people who actually own the very rare cards that he is seeking. That’s the power of E4.
If the E4 Buy Section was just about making offers for 75% of market value for cards that are readily available, what are we accomplishing here? Buy threads like that are never successful anyway, because the people on this forum are knowledgeable and know better.
I’m completely open to the fact that I may be dead wrong about this but that’s the way I see it.
