Here’s what you do:
It’s safe to say if the Charizard wasn’t there when you opened the box, it wasn’t there when he packed the box.
Simply tell him the Charizard wasn’t included and you want to return it. Have him authorize the return through eBay and a label will be supplied.
If he won’t supply that, open an item not as described case.
I mean I don’t understand why he would just leave out the Charizard LOL. He knows I would notice and contact him and I don’t see how he could win the Ebay case unless there’s something I’m missing.
Did you check the toploader to see if both cards were in the 1?
I know he mentioned they were in separate but what if his memory is foggy!
Checked it already. In fact, I’ve already taken apart the entire binder and sleeved each card individually just to make sure.
Don’t know what you’re saying? You said the Charizard isn’t there. I recommended you return them cause the remaining cards aren’t worth the 300.00. Now you seem to be defending him cause “why just leave out the Charizard LOL”.
Why not just return them? What other choice do you have?
He’s giving me a partial refund. Based on what RayquazaTCG said about him earlier in the thread, I trust that he didn’t keep it for himself.
Return it mate, he’s definitely not being honest with you + it wasn’t received as described… why would the most valuable card in the lot randomly be missing??
So either he DIDN’T include the Charizard and you are insanely forgiving or there are other things going on…
I really just don’t want to go through the hassle of returning it. Especially if the Charizard isn’t even there. Plus I still want to keep the cards I’m just not happy that a certain one is missing. I hope you’re not implying that I’m being dishonest, because I would never do something like that.
It doesn’t matter at all but it’s pretty clear something is amiss. Maybe if he lists the Charizard next week then we’ll know for sure.
Its just a very weird situation from my point of view. I don’t doubt you like the rest of the cards, and hopefully they give you the value you paid for. The fact that he didn’t include, really half the value in the Charizard, is odd. I hope the partial netted your value.
He asked me what amount I wanted refunded and I asked for 150 based off his evaluation of the card. He hasn’t responded yet, and if he doesn’t by tomorrow I will be involving Ebay. I really do want to believe him and from his messages he seems like a reasonable human being.
FINAL UPDATE:
We ended up working out a partial refund. He gave me back 150 which I think is very fair. Overall a nice guy. Thanks everyone for following the thread and giving advice.
