Kagayaku has a few nuances in the meaning but I think sparkling works fine.

doesn’t seem like the 5ban type of artists like we saw with the amazing rares. guess we’ll see. so far, they look significantly more interesting than a lot of other cards in this similar niche of being a half art temporary gimmick of a card since maybe the steam siege shiny dual types

i wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up being “shining” again lol. could also be “brilliant” or “glistening”, but i do like the ring of “sparkling”.
i know its not like it used to be, and now the english name of the attacks/names are agreed upon along side the japanese name. what i mean is, i dont think it would be “bright” like this google translation since not all shinies are “bright” per se

For me they’ve been missing the ball with shiny pokemon since SM, too much repetition/blandness in the backgrounds…

also i’m not sure what you’re seeing with the greninja that looks like a repetitious/bland background. hawlucha maybe, but then you could say the same about all of the other gold stars also drawn by fukuda

Overall design is lackluster and the holo pattern definitely ruins it. Hope it looks better in english

japanese reverse holo patterns have been quite ugly lately. Just getting rid of the full reverse holo treatment for these cards and having something more like shining legends shining’s holo effect would already make them significantly better.

its really hard to tell from a scan what the holo will look like, but i wouldn’t be surprised if we didn’t get that crosshatch layer and it was toned down for english
