There are SO many cards you can buy for $1600. Most 1st Ed base PSA 9 holos are in that price range. Sheesh

1st ed base hasnt really kept up in general (maybe mewtwo, alakazam are exceptions, charbar as well but that one isnt not back up to 2021 ath i dont think

maybe psa 10s are higher in auction but u could basically list those fixed price the last couple years and get almost the same price

Yes. Thats how markets work. Sure they might retrace a bit but the LT trend is up and theres very good reasons for why thats the case.
this. GS 10 pops are extremely low and have not moved up much at all.
It’s interesting to see similar type of posts I used to make in 2020 for 1st edition base now made for gold stars. As Fazool mentioned, not everyone can catch the right beginning and end of a wave, but figuring out how to surf properly in this market is importsnt. Both for your mental sanity and with what the liquidity could turn into (real life benefit, trophy cards, other collecting goals)
From personal experience on over spending or not selling I know This pace can’t last, but it’s important people realize it can feel almost over night that the growth stops. Sports cards felt a first shift in August 2020, Pokémon in 2021 Feb.
unless you own the very top, it’s very hard to say there is any control in a time like this.
