Hey Guys!
I received this Meowth in a bulk order today. All cards, including the Meowth, are NM/Pack Fresh. What makes it appear to me as a printing error are; the ink splotches do not cross the border beside the energy symbol, it looks like the words are printed above the ink, and there is absolutely zero damage anywhere on the card. Let me know what you all think! Maybe I’ve just been staring at this card too long and are starting to see things haha.
The printer “farted” when it was printing the blue color. Just a cool looking printing error.

Looks like it could be a real factory error. If you can magnify all the way to the rosette dots/ink pattern and the cyan splotches are appearing as dots, that would be the most compelling evidence. But even if they are not, it doesn’t mean it’s not real. Something like this can happen when the roller that applies the cyan layer is not completely clean. The patterns you see could even be an outline of another card artwork
The portrait is where it kind of looks like the another card artwork. Either way I thought it was pretty cool! This is the stuff that makes bulk orders fun imo.
