Awesome update! Do you recall the condition of play umbreon? Appears to be reasonably priced

It says 状態美品 which translates literally to “beautiful” and generally means the condition is going to be completely random but more often than not it means the visual appearance is good but it has surface scratches and other minor damage.

it’s a little more than reasonably priced lol. Kind of a steal/probably gone already/would sell in literally 1 minute if posted online.

edit: Ahh, forgot the date. That picture must be an april fools’ joke, well played!

The picture was actually sort of an April fool’s joke
The picture of the Karp and Umbreon are the prices they would pay if someone sold the card to them.
Otherwise those prices would have been an incredible steal

Some of the cheap good deals I saw when going through them…

Light dragonite for 1600 yen, Natta wake sunkern and McDonalds Bulbasaur both like 500 each, lots of wotc cards under 1000 yen each with a lot around 200, the picture with all the VS cards some of those prices are very good, and lucky stadium lugia I saw was like 500.

What does the SAMPLE mean on the poncho pikachus? They have multiple copies in varying conditions?

I would assume its bc its just a photo of it, those are really expensive cards I doubt they would just have them sitting out.

It means the “card” on the shelf is just a printed picture for display purposes only . They keep the real one behind the counter because of the higher value.

Just got back from 2 weeks there. So many shops but overall theme was, most vintage cards had a yellow sticker on them indicating they were in below NM condition, most of the time MP-HP. All the really sought after stuff like ponchos were overpriced.

That being said I still found some great stuff at reasonable prices. Nabbed myself a fan club porygon on the 2nd to last day there.

Shops are pretty used to letting customers inspect condition, one of the first places I went to would bring them to a counter and have you look over them before even ringing anything up. Other places you just go “Sumimasen, showcase” and they’ll unlock the case for u and just point at stuff u wanna look at out of the sleeve.

Even without buying stuff at the majority of the stores it was cool to be able to browse so many cards. A totally different shop experience than most places here in the US.

I think this is the Lucario V 304/S-P which could be acquired partly by lottery and partly via a Lucario HR Scramble battle tournament. I think this is 4000 copies, since the Rainbow Rare Lucario V Star is 2000 copies only, however, I am not sure on the number.

This is such a great price. Very underrated promo and would buy these all day for this price. Wonder what the Silver Victory Medal price tag was.

Thanks for the pics as always.

Cheers!
