The big chase cards won’t dip for long. People have been waiting for them to come down so if Umbreon temporarily goes down to $600 due to the reprint and more available, the market will buy them up and the price will be right back up $750 for Umbreon.
The flat V and VMAX will inch even closer to bulk price range as people will open all the heavy packs.
I ripped 6 boxes of my eevee heroes the last week cuz of the reprint, i got 2 alt art sylveon V ![]()
Pics or it didn’t happen! ![]()
You mustve missed my discord photo barrage. I ripped an aquapolis blister, megalo cannon box, shiny gx box, 2 tag all star boxes, 6 eevee heroes boxes, 1 sky legend box 1 miracle twin box, a couple modern english packs, unpeeled some 2000-something mcdonald sheets, hmm a korean armoured mewtwo, i think a few other things too but cant remember. It was a busy day.
Given the success of Eevee Heroes, wondering if there’ll be at least one new expansion per generation featuring Eevee.
Seems like a cash cow they could milk indefinitely - pineapple Eevee, lemon Eevee, coconut Eevee, pepper Eevee, Eevee soup, Eevee stew, Eevee salad, Eevee and potatoes, Eevee burger, Eevee sandwich, etc.
I just hope this is a meaningfully large reprint. Previous Japanese reprints have been so small they’ve barely moved the market price (tag all stars springs to mind). Mind you, even if it is a ‘big’ one the market will still absorb it as fast as distributors can get it out the door, this set is just so good. I’d like a chance to get some more boxes a few quid cheaper than current secondary market prices, assuming PC Japan doesn’t re-list it on the site.
Tag All Stars didn’t really need a reprint though. It was easily available for over a year. The only people that would’ve missed it were people who jumped in during the pandemic madness. Even then I purchased boxes at retail price in Christmas 2020. Eevee Heroes for the most part was simple never available and I think judging by how much they are printing VMAX Climax I think there is a good chance for a decent supply.
I just looked up this reprint and am kind of surprised. I’d always assumed Japanese cards didn’t do reprints from a previous generation, but I guess that isn’t true.
They have been doing a good job lately of adding supply. The additional waves can be small, or a full print run. They even peppered in a few sets older than Eevee Heroes. This was much needed as some shops in japan were doing forced openings. Basically opening the box in front of you, to decrease scalping. Printing more supply is the real cure for scalping, and so far its working well. ![]()
@beggles ,would you say Tag Team was overprinted then? I was surprised it is still relativly low in price considering the cards you can pull but that would somewhat explain it.
I don’t think it was overprinted. It was printed exactly as much as was needed/in demand at the time ![]()
In my experience, Japanese only really caught on like crazy around Matchless Fighters (never saw that one for sale either. It needs a reprint too) and when people first got wind of Eevee Heroes.
Are JP packs weighable?!

Sadly very much so.
I didn’t say TAS needed a reprint I was just simply using it as an example to illustrate my point about past Japanese reprint sizes. Japan have previously been particularly rigid with total print runs regardless of market demand, hence the large increase in prices in sets like ultra shiny gx. Though, I spose you could transpose the old market disclaimer, ‘past reprint sizes don’t guarantee future results’.
Checking out my Pokémon Center online order history, it looks like I picked up GX Ultra Shiny in June 2019. which was 7 months after the initial release, so not too bad. While their release schedule is rigid, I think previously there was enough supply to match demand for a decent chunk of time (excluding Red’s Pikachu mania.) The problems last year were down to a bunch of factors, but mainly I think it was sticking to their release roadmap too doggedly in unprecedented times in Japan and that caused a ton of problems, resulting in weird anomalies like Eevee Heroes and 25th Anniversary.
i think it sincerely depends on the size of the reprint and the timing. it seems that eevee heroes boxes will be available for around $80 CAD (according to some preorder options i’ve seen, obviously subject to change), which would lead me to believe it’s a fairly decent sized run. people buying in the west may hold on to boxes, but i’d like to think more boxes will be opened than stashed, relative to say a heavily speculated english set. i think the price on the umbreon vmax is a little bit ridiculous tbh, i think a lot of the eevee heroes singles prices are being held up by the lack of supply, so ideally, the reprint will be enough to knock’em down a peg or two. eevee heroes is also a year old at this point and the reprint will be coming in close to the release of scarlet and violet, as well as lost origin, so hopefully the bulk of the modern attention will be elsewhere. i think we are in uncharted territory rn, as i havent really seen a japanese set act like eevee heroes before, even tag allstars was available at msrp for quite a while after release. it’s gonna be a wait and see, but im expecting the prices to cool off a bit. pray lol.
Is there any active preorder sites for eevee heroes at the moment?
The inner excitement is real. I got tons of the gym boxes, but slacked on the normal boosters. REDEMPTION!!!
Just a heads up for everyone.
I was talking to a seller I know in Japan about Volt Tackle and the Start 100 Decks, and he told me that they will probably be reprinted in August (not September) and that he was unable to even secure any orders because they were so limited. While I didn’t specifically ask about Eevee Heroes, I’m assuming the same thing will apply.
Eevee Heroes has already proven itself with the immediate high demand for the chase cards it offers. I have to think that even with a reprint, anyone paying attention will buy 2-3 times more boxes than they did previously before the set had much market data. That potential is coupled with the rip and flippers who’ll want another shot at some affordable openings. I’m not anticipating the price to dip much or for very long, but I hope it does.
