eBay Garbage

Wait… why would that pikachu worth $100?

Because it’s not. ;D lol

I asked because he said this…

and followed up with the “should I buy it now”

Sarcasm.

Can’t read sarcasm online

It’s kind of implied with this thread though…

I just noticed the title… I always skim… so that’s why I missed it.

Dang! If the orange line and circle were on the card, it would be the rarest Pokemon card ever!

Wow this one is laughable!

I like these… but it’s ebay garbage… anyone know where I can get a complete set cheaper.

Ya I saw one for $45 on ebay but passed it up. I think codymancj has one for $50 if you ask him

can you link me the ebay one?

Good thing I got mine when these were $35, $50 is ridiculous for these.

Everything has gotten ridiculous in the pokemon relm! I still can’t find someone willing to sell a NM/Mint Natta Wake Pikachu under $200! Two months ago the auctions were ending in the $111-170 range for sealed ones!

$500 may be ridiculous, but I don’t think $50 is an unreasonable price for a factory-sealed one.

I’ve got to differ on that point as well. You’re talking about a card that was released 12 years ago, and at a time when the Pokemon fad had begun to fade.

A lot of people — myself included — passed on the card at the time, as sales were in a nosedive. As as result, this second “Birthday Pikachu” became an overlooked gem, and is now commanding prices indicative of its scarcity. Nothing ridiculous about that at all.

I respectfully disagree. :stuck_out_tongue:

Those VHS sets were selling from the same seller as low as $11 BIN from 2011 and increased slightly ever since which I think is pretty fair I got 2 at 35 and I consider that a bargain not the normal price. Check the price across all sellers and countries $40 is the cheapest I’ve seen in Japan recently so it’s pretty reasonable considering shipping is included and the guy is getting slugged over 10% in fees from eBay/PayPal.

On Natta Wake Pika completed sales would suggest 150 as the norm. They don’t come for auction much anymore so I agree the BIN prices are high because that’s the only point of comparison. Just keep an eye out and you can get 1 patience is they key on rarer cards like that.

Remember — this is stuff made in Japan. Not the United States. Not Australia. Not El Salvador.

So, if a seller in Japan thinks it’s worth $40 to $50, and you find it elsewhere for $5 to $15 less than that, then you should regard that lower price as a bargain. The slightly higher price, however, is hardly “ridiculous.”

I gotta agree with that like I said $35 shipped is a true bargain $50 is still pretty cheap he is the only seller around that price the next cheapest I’ve seen is $70-80.
