Hey look, a 4th print DUTCH Chorizord! I can’t wait until all the other schmucks with foreign base cards get the same idea and ruin the search function.
4th print. There is no “4th print” of Dutch Base, those two phrases have nothing to do with each other.
It’s nice bait because the Charizards look similar, 1999-2000 and similar background without the black lines, but the Dutch version has cosmos foil as opposed to starfoil. Rookie buyers may fall for it, though I suspect the goal is to slip through the much more selective 4th print ebay filter, at the cost of being entirely irrelevant and wrongful advertising.
Thought I’d give my fellow Canadians a heads up. This user bought a lot of singles from me one shot. Had random questions and demanded a lot last week … only to have received this message this morning. Hidden gem?
You’ve heard of Japan dropshippers, maybe even you’ve seen eBay dropshippers on Japanese marketplaces, but are you prepared for…Japan dropshippers dropshipping eBay dropshippers listings? It’s dropshipception!
You think theyd have it ship to japan and then ship back if someone in the US bought it? How much time would be lost in shipping? And yet, theres someone out there who has likely bought something like this.
Yo, what the fuck is up with people not reading item descriptions? 80% of the time when somebody messages me a question about an item, the question is *explicitly* answered in the description (sometimes even the title). Getting reaaaaal sick of starting my responses with “per the item description…”
Or even better, when the question is explicitly answered in the description and the title.
I have recently been selling complete Common/Uncommon Base Set lots. I have the condition listed as “excellent” in the title and the description and also explained what the condition meant.
Message from a recent customer: “What is the condition of the cards?”
I replied to him saying “excellent.” He then asked exactly what cards were in the lot, as if it doesn’t literally say “COMPLETE COMMON/UNCOMMON BASE SET 70 CARDS” in plain English in the title. I replied saying that it has every Common and Uncommon card in the Base Set. I avoided making any wise remarks just so I didn’t lose a potential customer. Not surprisingly, he didn’t make a purchase.
In about two-and-a-half years of selling on eBay, I have noticed that 99 percent of people (I’m not even going to call them “customers”) that ask questions never actually end up buying anything. That’s not an exaggeration, either. It’s so rare that I can actually literally remember the few examples of people who asked a question and did ultimately make a purchase.
Or they always have issues if they do purchase. I tend to ignore most messages now, especially the “What is your lowest” or “do you think it could get a 10?”.
Dear anyone reading this, if someone has a best offer option, go ahead and submit your BEST OFFER. That is why the button is there. Don’t ask the seller what their lowest is, they won’t give you an answer 99% of the time.
Yes it is frustrating when buyers ask for your lowest price. The best offer function is there for a reason and if your offer is rejected it was too low :-). Cerulean you are 100% correct 99% of folks asking for additional pics and or asking questions don’t follow through and waste your time.
I don’t sell a ton on ebay, but I sold one of the Professor Willow Research codes and, as you may or may not be aware, they do not go live until July 1st.
I sent the code in a message, but I did not mention the go-live date and within two minutes I have my first negative feedback calling me a “scammer” and “liar selling expired codes”.
I reached out to them and let them know that the codes are not redeemable until July 1st and even shared the official Niantic Support page where they state that outright, but the buyer is refusing to change it until they confirm the code is working…so F me for the next 9 days.
Anyway, thank you internet for letting me get out my frustration.
Am I not forward enough in my item title? Is my code card picture not clear enough? Happened twice this week alone and I gotta know; how do you avoid a negative/neutral feedback from these buyers? Report the feedback right?
