eBay discount

I’m spending around £330 with free postage. The free postage is $8 which is the only thing he is discounting. Is this fair or not. Also it’s 28 items and around 180 cards. From Japan as well. Also have bought £80 worth of stuff from him before also.

I mean… the price you’re paying for the cards, wether it’s fair or not really depends on the cards. Free shipping is always nice, but regardless of previous purchases, noone’s really entitled to a discount. If you don’t like the price you’d be paying I’d say just don’t buy it?
Without seeing what you’re actually buying we can’t really tell if it’s a fair price, and NOT getting a discount on a listed price is kinda… normal…

Question, why do you feel entitled to a discount?

And I have a feeling he isn’t :joy:

Okay then, I’ll reply. Yes, it is fair;)

To be honest it is fair.is this a listing from ebay or a website? either way you only really get discount for bulk, or combining the shipping/free shipping. there arent many other reasons to make it cheaper unless you pay cash in person to avoid ebay and paypal fees etc.

EDIT: discounts may be if youve know the person a bit, repeat business several times and decent relationship…they may say ill know a few quid of this etc. However when that shipments comes from Japan to the UK, you will be hit hard with custom fees etc.I got a card today, bought a psa card for £30 in Japan…custom was £13!

Normally when you buy so many items they will discount. But I do understand that.

On eBay?

EDIT: Ill try that again…you can ask for combined postage so it is cheaper with multiple items…sometimes they will give free postage but it’s not to be expected. 10% or more lower if through just paypal, or cash in hand. I have bartered with individuals before and got a deal for spending x amount plus free postage(facbook/sole trader selling pokemans stuff) Apart from that and best offer i dont see a reaosn for a discount?

Sorry dude. But the only discount I’ll be giving is the fact that the postal costs up to 4 cards are the same, and 5 to 10 cards is the same. Feeling entitled to a discount just because you buy a lot of cards from one seller is just rude. The seller just giving you extra service for combined shipping, if he decides to give you free shipping he’s just generous.

The supermarket isn’t going to give you 10% off on your groceries either if you buy 3 months of stock, just because you buy alot from them.

Make sure you either contact customs or have the money on hand for the fees etc aswell.Just a heads up! 330 is going to be close to 100 quid extra i think.
I dread it when I see the grey card from royal mail…:sob:

I have never had that though.

I spent £100 off him with no import charges.

If that’s the case I can’t pay for it then. I just bought on eBay a couple of hours. Don’t have any money left.

It depends how he ships, legally shipping and custom dec will incur them.

Im not saying it is guaranteed, but you need to look into to and make sure. It is one of the reasons I dont like buying from outside the UK and EU. Hit with customs on many occasions from the US and Japan

Just got this, should I be alright then.

If he does that yes, gifts under 36£ are not taxed or charged fees… however it is illegal for him to falsely fill out customs forms, so I cannot condone it personally. Its nothing to do with me ha! Its down to the seller and buyer what they do.

I am just providing fact’s and information for yourself

Well there you go, you got your discount right there.

Plus he might be upgrading to EMS since he he said Express and not Airmail. That is another discount over just free shipping. EMS starts at 2,000 yen.
