I missed the vote, but this one is definitely my favorite so glad to see it ranked pretty highly! Definitely one of my favorite evolution lines of gen 3!

Lairon taking 4 of the top 5 despite being 3rd most popular of the 3.
Tbf it has some great art compared to the other 2.
And this is also why I think the comparison that ARs will be less special is disingenuous. Just because a Pokemon gets 1 doesn’t guarantee it will be amongst the best artwork it has received, especially if it gets a divisive or niche illustrator or dodgy art direction from the art director.
Different strokes for different folks unlike CGI models which are also then recoloured rainbow or gold.
