USPS is probably overly backlogged right now, I printed my label on Sunday and it was priority mail. It should have gotten there by Wed-Thursday if it weren’t the holidays.

I’ve been receiving a lot of the same questions recently regarding SS, so I just wanted to put all the answers here in a bit of an FAQ post!
Q: I haven’t received my SS gift yet. Has it been shipped?
A: 99% of gifts have been shipped. We usually have a couple gifts shipped after the deadline for various reasons, and this year is no different. The remaining gifts waiting to be shipped will be shipped shortly. Keep in mind this from the OP: Early shipping of gifts is encouraged where possible. Holiday shipping is highly unpredictable. We usually have gifts arriving until late January.
If you have not received your gift by the end of January, please reach out and I can check it.
Q: I shipped my gift and the tracking says awaiting delivery/signature required/ready for pickup/etc. If it gets returned, will I be punished? Can you reach out to my SS and tell them to pick the gift up?
A: Receiving the gift is the responsibility of the recipient, not the sender. If you’re participating in SS, you should be on the lookout for a package that may appear random or be from an international location! Keep an eye on your mailbox or front door for missed delivery slips if you aren’t home. Generally I will not reach out to people and tell them their gift is ready for pickup as most people will already know this and will be arranging a convenient time for them to pick it up. I know some senders are nervously watching the tracking for updates, and we appreciate your dedication, but don’t worry!
If your gift does get returned to you by the shipping service, reach out to me.
Q: My gift was delivered awhile ago but my recipient hasn’t posted in the Picture Thread yet. Can you confirm delivery/ask them to post?
A: This is the first year we have the posting requirement, so we’re still working out best practices for the rule. As many people wait to open their gifts and find time to post, there are no time restrictions on when to post. Around late January, when I’m sure everyone has received gifts, I will reach out to those who have not posted to encourage them to do so. Generally, I won’t reach out to people to confirm delivery, unless there is an anomaly with the tracking information or some other issue.
Q: I’ve got a problem with package theft, and I want to track my gift to make sure I can get it safely. Can you send me the tracking number?
A: Yes, just message me for it. However, if you don’t have a pressing need for the tracking number like package theft, I’d recommend against it. It’s always more fun to not know where your package is coming from and when it’s getting there, so it’s more of a surprise!

Fyi to my Secret Santa, the gift got delivered to my parents house on Wednesday when I left that morning for a flight – just barely missed it :-/
As a result, I’m getting my parents to ship it to me with an estimated delivery of 1/4 so will be opening it soon!
Sorry the delay but very much looking forward to open it!

I’m happy to announce that 100% of gifts have been shipped with tracking! Remember to post in the Picture Thread when you receive your gift, this is a requirement this year!
Since all gifts have now been shipped, if you have not received your gift by the end of January, please reach out. I know we still have several gifts still in transit so it’s not cause for alarm yet if it hasn’t arrived.
