So … What is the best marker/way to sign cards?
Earlier this year I signed/marked Birthday Pikachu’s from Celebrations for my nephews with a wild variety of results. Could be due to the cards being textured, could be me being unskilled, could been chosen marker. I commonly use these markers because they are the prime brand. Is there anything better out there? Or it’s just down to my lack of skill to properly hold a marker and penmanship?
I’ve tested out this permanent marker with a 1mm tip, and the coating on some (modern) Japanese cards seems to make it very hard to get a clean signature. The ink pools on top of it and causes it to come out very blotchy. This makes me wonder what artists use for their signings… English (non textured) cards don’t have this issue, and everything comes out clean. You could do some more testing on common cards to see what works? But I’m curious if anyone else has more experience with this.

Just a reminder that there is ONE WEEK until the shipping deadline of December 23rd. You must respond to your Secret Santa DM to provide tracking to me by midnight on the 23rd. If there is an extenuating circumstance that means you won’t be able to ship by that date, the most important thing is to be in contact with me so I know what’s going on. If the 23rd passes and I haven’t heard from you at all, you will be getting some angry PMs from me!
Remember, when you receive your gift, please post it in the Secret Santa Picture Thread (linked above)!

The deadline to provide tracking is TOMORROW, DECEMBER 23.
If you do not ship by tomorrow and have not already messaged me about it, this will be counted as delinquency and you will be getting some angry messages from me. If your shipment will be delayed for any reason, the most important thing is to reach out to me about it. Don’t make me spend my Christmas chasing you down!

What’s the latest on the postage strike? I bought a card a month ago and the seller said the strikes were going on, still made it here quickly. Now I have another card on the way with no movement
The cheapest services will be backed up for several weeks at least. Anything that isn’t one of the 48hr/24hr fully tracked services are essentially just going into 1 long queue at the regional depos. They are striking a few more days after Christmas and then in the new year too
