A massive thanks to @shizzlemetimbers for the amazing gift!! I was blown away by your generosity and thoughtfulness, beaming the entire time as I opened it.

I was greeted by this masterpiece of a pikachu that is 100% going to be framed and hung somewhere (he’s so chunky and perfect!)

Then I pulled out these two original display inserts from gashapon machines which I’ve never seen before, featuring more adorable pikachus. Now I want to go collect those battle coins.

Three cards, none of which I had, featuring my three favorite Pokemon. I’m so stoked to own a flying pikachu! It’s hilarious that the card description says he overcame his weakness by learning to fly with balloons lol. I love the artworks for the articuno and mew as well; the mew is so cute! And the articuno makes me want to finally get around to the ANA airlines promos.

Next I unwrapped 4 more products I was previously unaware of, all of which are super dope. An awesome Pokemon-themed tin based off of the Great Wave off Kanagawa. A Tomy Monster Collection Set Articuno. A Bandai Friends Series 2 Pikachu plush (I read that there’s candy in the box
may have to bust that one open). And an awesome set of keyrings released alongside the first Pokemon movie in Japan. The lettering and artwork for ‘Mewtwo Strikes Back’ on the spine is seriously cool, such an awesome item.

Your gift brought me so much joy @shizzlemetimbers , thanks for making the end of my year a fun one.

Just opened my mail and holy crap!
I was doing a mail day opening on e4 discord as I had a bunch of packages and was thrilled to open this live from @degreen11

First, there were some incredible cute cards in a beautiful mini deck box (I collect deck boxes, shameless plug to visit my deck box collection thread)

The Chansey on the right from Neo Destiny is one of my all time favorite Chanseys, which leads me to this
!

This is unbelievable and I will definitely be framing and displaying! It is perfect to go with my shelf of Chansey deck boxes. Hand drawn color pencil! Please than your sister-in-law it is a treasure!

Then, a Champions Path ETB! I love opening modern but it is always sold out by me so I usually do discord breaks! This was my first time ever opening an ETB myself! I decided to do a “self-break” live on discord and boy am I glad I did!

(Picture is unsealed cause I was too excited to remember take picture before opening haha)

When I do breaks I enjoy revealing a very thin sliver of the card border behind the reverse holo to try and guess what it could be (example, I can guess that it will be a full art trainer if there is a solid textured silver border, and then try to determine the rest of the card as I slowly reveal the rest of the art starting from the bottom millimeter by millimeter.)

I saw that the border was sparkly while opening this pack and asked everyone watching please keep to yourself if you know what card it is so I could try and guess.

Thankfully a screenshot was taken!!!

I had no idea it was Charizard but several people did based on the set list number so thank you SO MUCH for not ruining the surprise and making this an incredible memory. What a terrific way to start the new year!

Have the full family now  OK except for the super expensive trophy ones lol

This was a wonderful thoughtful gift! Thanks again

Amazing gift and amazing luck on pulls. The deck box is from the Japanese Quickstarter Gift box which contained the Red/Green decks which it looks like your japanese cards (minus the amazing dark ampharos) may be from. Happy holidays!

My Secret Santa Gift has Arrived - THANK YOU SO MUCH @cbd1235 !!!

I told my Secret Santa that I was hoping to receive some “cool” display pieces for for my eBay Office / YouTube “Studio” as well as the fact that I wasn’t big into Japanese Cards; but, that I was beginning to collect some of the “cooler” Japanese Art-Works. I was curious as to where my Secret Santa would go with this and I must say, he did not disappoint - everything is PERFECT!!!

I recorded and uploaded a YT Video of everything that I received (Skip to 3:40):

I did want to give a special THANK YOU to @cbd1235 for really going ABOVE AND BEYOND in his research for my Secret Santa Gift! I truly enjoyed everything; however, his Mew Drawing with 1907 Indian Cent Attached really got to me - I nearly burst into tears when I saw that and I’m really not an emotional type of guy! That is something that I am DEFINITELY going to frame and cherish forever!

My Dad was HUGE into coin collecting! He was able to fulfill a life-long passion of his and opened / ran a retail coin shop for 10+ Years! I was constantly helping my Dad with his business; from when I was just a little kid and we’d spend Sunday at the Flea Market to expanding that small Flea Market Booth to an actual brick-and-mortor store where I’d spend countless hours at the shop with my Dad. He eventually passed the “collecting bug” onto me and it became something that we were able to enjoy together!

My Dad’s “pride-and-joy” of his collection was an Indian Cent Collection that he started in the 1990’s and that we were able to finish-off together - spending weekends traveling to different Coin Shows across New England and even one weekend where we drove down to New York for a Heritage Auction to bid (and win) the last piece for our collection (PCGS MS 65 1877 Indian Cent - Key Date of Indian Cents).

Sadly, my Dad passed-away a couple of years ago now, and since his passing, I really haven’t been able to enjoy coin collecting like I used too - our collection and the remainder of the shop’s inventory have been sitting in-storage collecting dust for about 2 1/2 Years. After coming back home from my last “cruise” (working on a cargo ship), I was talking with my Mom about how I wanted to try and get back into coin collecting and try to go through the shop’s inventory again. About a week after that conversation, I received this gift and was absolutely BLOWN AWAY to see that Indian Cent!!! I’m definitely planning to slowly get back into coin collecting (it’s something that I am beginning to miss) and feel like it’s a GREAT WAY to “re-connect” with my Dad!

My time to share!
I want to start with thanking @simensim1 for the generous and amazing gifts! What an incredible Secret Santa

This is what awaited me when I first opened the box

So many gifts inside!!

A really nice folder with an awesome drawing inside

Just wow, the presents keep blowing my mind! Pokémon Pinball for Game Boy Color in the original box, holy guacamole! Not only that, I got my very own pokéball and a Pikachu and Mew.

Cool stickers and metal tags along with some sealed boosters (keeping them that way for now). A big boy Snorlax! And let’s not forget the CGC graded Pikachu. It’s the first CGC card I own and I must say I like it a lot. The artwork is spot on as well!

Some old school japanese cards that are perfect for my collection of early set holos. Two cool Moo-Moo related cards as well which I guess is a theme together with the delicious chocolate candy haha
Last but not least, a 3rd place League Promo Mew, which is just stunning and a card I’ve been meaning to buy for a long time

Once again, thank you @simensim1 for the gifts. You put the “real” Santa to shame with these incredible gifts

Glad you finally were able to pick it up!

Tried to include a great variety of different stuff - not just tcg, so glad you like it!

Sorry for butchering the background in the drawing hahah. I had no clue what to draw for the background
Happy with the Mew itself though!

Awesome that you caught on to the theme of the moo-moo and chocolate included hahah. Quality Norwegian chokolate btw

Hope you pull a Mew from the stickers and the metal tags! Would top it off!

Merry Christmas and a happy new year!

So incredible thanks to @parkermrparker as my secret santa! I cannot tell you how excited I was to open the gift!

Apologies for the crappy pictures. We’ve had gray weather the last few days so I only have my desk light.

So first I was just impressed with the sheer amount of packages from a small box I received:

The note on the back of this drawing was as thoughtful as it was funny. Thank you for your kind words. Your drawing is better than anything I could have done so no shame at all!

I opened up the boosters first just to see since I had a good idea what they would be.

However, I was happily surprised to see my favorite Pokemon staring right at me:

I opened 2 and kept the others sealed. Didn’t pull anything noteworthy but it was still a fun experience since I don’t really open much nowadays!

Next I opened up the two titled “Spicy Singles” and “Kinda Charizard Singles” and was overjoyed! My top wish this Christmas was to get some Vending Machine cards since I always loved them as a kid but never found an opportunity or good excuse to have them. I specified that I didn’t care about the condition and just wanted any number of them that I could. Well he pulled through more than I ever expected anyone would!

The Abra, Diglett’s Cave, Machoke, Vulpix, Snorlax were some of my favorites. Hell I even love Nishida’s Jynx! However, I cannot get over the three on the top: Ooyama’s Pikachu, Mew, and Imakuni’s PC!

I saved the last package for last:

The package was so well packed that I knew I didn’t have anything to fear, however I took my sweet time to open it to get one of the coolest frames around this big guy!

Thank you again so much, man! This gift helped make my holiday! ^____^

@azulryu im so happy the glass didnt break. I checked tracking on it everyday waiting to see “item terminated due to hazardous material”
Those well loved vending cards found a good home, and the framed gyarados was in my collection for a year and always felt like it needed a family outside of my weird framed family
we should do secret santas quarterly, this has been so much fun giving a gift.

Started off the new year with an amazing Secret Santa gift from @pkmnflyingmaster ! Included were some classic Japanese promos as well an incredible 3D printed Dragonite PSA card stand. The stand was inspired by one of my favorite cards, the Gameboy Dragonite Promo. Really loved the Japanese manga book as well.

The custom artwork of one of my favorite cards(Hungry Snorlax) was the icing on the cake(not to mention the yummy candy bars).

Can’t thank you enough for the thoughtfulness and generosity of this gift!
