Does the condition of the psa case itself affect price?

i was just wondering if the psa case affects the price. thanks

He’ll yeah bro problem is most of the time by the time I get a scratched up case I’ve already paid.

Blessed is the seller who as a courtesy provides a slab sleeve

Sure. If the case is a little beat up, I don’t want it.

Absolutely. Just imagine if you are buyer. Would you want to buy the card with a cracked case or dinged up? Of course not.

Ofc if its scratched it will annoy buyers a lot, also if its broken it can potentially damage the card inside, and the problem is if you sent it to recase they will have to grade the card again. So no one wants a damaged case. It will drop the price for sure every time.

I mean, has anyone actually received a PSA order that the cases haven’t arrived scratched lol

Once I bought a psa 10 card which I thought it was a low psa 10 but in reality it was a strong 10 with a bad case. I think that the seller could get a lot more if the case was perfect…

If it’s a great card at a bargain price then it would be worth re-holdering imo.

As long as there’s no cracks or dents, I’m ok with it. Sometimes, if I buy a card with a low cert number with scratches, I like it because it makes me feel like I’m owning a piece of history. As Rudy would call it, ā€œwell lovedā€.
