Can a scratch on a slab lower the price of a graded PSA card

Recently bought a PSA graded card, the slab arrived with a minor scratch on the back, very difficult to see in pictures. I wonder if the seller should have disclosed this and will it affect my ability to sell it in the future

( vertical scratch on the top left of the picture)

All slabs accrue scratches. It’s not reasonable to expect every scratch to be disclosed. It does not affect value.
if you don’t like scratches, try this outwww.youtube.com/watch?v=NZQ8cnJqv4A

The slab Is just acrylic plastic. It’s going to be in some way scratched or scuffed from manufacturing at least. As long as not cracked or perforated just buff it out as been stated.

if all else fails you can always pay to have a card reholded. but i really wouldnt worrry about scratches on the holder unless its excessive

Will this buff out?

lol Sorry, just remember the old car forum memes

To answer the question in the op: Of course it can, yes!

As a buyer, if there’s big/deep noticeable scratches on the case I pass on it. If I’m going to be spending a lot of money on a graded card, I want something that I can happily display and look at.

i had a buyer low ball me since there was a spec of dust in a PSA case. he said it devalues the card and grade lol.
