Does holo bleed take away the chance of getting a psa 10?

I was watching this video from this youtuber named lootboxtv, and he and his friend basically said something along the lines of a holo bleed on their base set hitmonchan making them skeptical about whether or not it can get a 10 from psa

is this even true? I haven’t graded in forever and don’t have many japanese graded cards, but from what I remember, holo bleed is a good thing that is on like most japanese old back cards lol. I think I’ve even seen some english cards from the platinum era with holo bleed get 10s

maybe there’s some truth to what they’re saying, but if they’re wrong I have no idea how they got this idea how holo bleed is an ‘imperfection’

I don’t think it will affect any grading standards, if someone has any info it would be interesting to know

Everyone here is right about how holo bleed doesn’t affect grading. @gemmintpokemon collects holo bleed error pokemon cards and his youtube has a few examples of the error. I think he’s very informative about it as well.

No PSA doesn’t treat holo bleeds as damage.

Agreed. PSA doesn’t acknowledge the difference in holo bleeds & non bleeds. They’re graded the same.

BGS may label it for you. They’ve been much more open to labeling more obscure cards.

That’s what I figured but after seeing psa return videos from that channel where they said holo bleed was why they weren’t getting 10s, I wasn’t sure what to think anymore

I knew psa started taking off for the lip but I was like “damn the holo bleed too?” lol

I think PSA will dock it when they feel like it it’s happened to me but it was a very obvious full holo bleed
