Do not use Ebay vault, trash service without custom titles

This service and “title change request” is absoultely garbage. I specifically requested they add the language and rearrange the title details, and they refused.

I have a Chinese Acerola Dreams come ttrue Psa 10 card.
Ebay prepopulated my title for this card as:
2019 Collection 201 Acerola Super Rare Pokemon TCG Card PSA 10 Gem Mint

I requested it be changed to:
2019 Pokemon Chinese Acerola 201 Dreams Come True Set A PSA 10 Gem Mint

All details were just rearranged(the dreams come true is in the “Set details” but for some reason it cuts it off at collection.

I had other cards(english and japanese) in my vault that I requested similar changes to. All denied.

And this is the response i got:

But they feel the need to add “super rare tcg card” as more valuable real estate then the language of the card. LMAO this is the worst “service” ive seen. I tried to list my marnie ssv with these auto trash titles and got 2 views in 6 days on a below market price listing. Whats the point of no fees if you get no buyers, or eyes on your listing due to terrible auto titles and 72h wait period?

I do not recommend ebays vault till they allow custom titles. Oh you want to make a change? yeah wait 72h and only till day 5 when you reach out to customer service they will then deny your reasonable request.

Sorry to see that this is not working on your end. The titles of cards that I have in the eBay Vault are correct, but they are vintage. Maybe eBay title recommendations are more accurate for vintage cards? I am not sure. Whatever the cause, I hope that they fix it soon.

Their reply is basically saying, “We’re right, you’re wrong. S_ck it up”.

Thank god I left ebait 18 years ago.

How do you buy your cards if not on eBay? Solely through Instagram and Facebook?

The “other sites”.

I do have to agree with the OP on this one. I had a Gold Star Entei listed from the Vault and it was a BGS 9.5 but titled as a PSA 10. I tried on 2 or 3 seperate occasions to contact ebay to get them to correct the title to reflect the 9.5 and both times I was assured someone would be on it, and both times no one changed the title. I also asked Ebay to take another picture or two for me for the listing which they once again said they would do to no avail. It’s very frustrating having to contact Ebay for something as small as a title change and for them to not even get that right when they have my card. After that experience, I decided I’d rather not leave my cards in the vault.

I’m confused by what she is even saying.

Did you make the title request change prior to them adding the feature to allow you to request the change on the website itself? Why is she even mentioning when people previously had to request it directly from support?

This is bringing me back to that eBay authentication thread where I brought up the not so secret fact of how understaffed the eBay authentication team was.

This is disappointing to hear. My biggest worry selling via the vault is the item still being sold through your account. I can’t imagine the headache of dealing with a buyer who is correctly frustrated the item received didn’t match the title.

They don’t allow name change to include shadowless either, just 1st base

No i made the title change request Aug 1st. They implemented the ability to change in early july. So its not that. She just clearly doesnt understand after multiple emails back and forth the importance of title specifics and that im just asking for rearranging the details that are already auto populated (in the item specific details sections) and them omitting the language of the card.

They literally have a feature that says “re-order details”. I have tried that just moving pokemon to the front, and the set to after the card name. Still denied. Im just letting people know with modern special foreign cards that your titles will be all jacked up and they refuse to fix them.

The service is essentially in beta mode, it’s not surprising to hear complaints like this.

It feels like they basically rushed out implementation after pwcc released their vault. It only recently became available to the general public (in the US). Eventually these kinks will be worked out but if you’re expecting a complete and functional product today then yeah I’d avoid it

I put in the request on Saturday and just got this;

Also to be fair regarding it essentially being in beta mode;

It’s literally called “Collection beta”

Lol I got no clue. I changed the Set name because it was showing up blank (I think what it originally tried to use automatically was too long), moved like 5 fields around, and changed “Holo Rare” to “Holo”. So I made quite a few changes to it,

I guess +1 to PWCC for letting you change the titles without question. At least that’s been the case for me.

Well it makes more sense for eBay to do it since cards don’t go through authentication when sold from the vault. It needs to be some automated process but doing that is probably super complicated. I’d imagine they don’t plan to manually approve these all going forward though.

Probably. It’s still in its infancy, they will have to log the complaints and change as they go. I didn’t know they skip the authenticity guarantee if you use the vault, that is a big plus.

When you send cards to the ebay vault you send them to authentication who then sends it to the vault. So technically it’s not skipped but it means the buyer doesn’t have to wait for it.

Oh. Gotcha. I wish we could opt out of the authenticity guarantee for graded cards.

Sorry you had to deal with this and hope they sort you out because that is really frustrating and seems prone to so many problems.

Objectively I found this hilarious though, maybe next time they’ll add these too :fire::100:
