If you could opt out then it would defeat the entire purpose of it existing. A seller trying to sell a fake card would just opt out of the system stopping them from doing so. Likewise a buyer trying to refund scam a seller would just opt out of the same system that stops them from doing that.
It’s just not necessary on most cards. And the buyer should be the one to opt out, not the seller. People also need to do their own due diligence when purchasing, I would absolutely want the authenticity guarantee when it comes to a raw card, or a base set charizard. Something that gets targeted by scammers. I don’t need authenticity checks on an obscure slabbed card that I know won’t be faked easily.
Someone could list a legit card and then sell you a fake one in one of the ali/etsy fake slabs and then you have to have proof that you weren’t actually sent a legit card.
For anyone curious it builds the title based on various details submitted for the card. So this took the rarity that was listed as “Super Rare” and “Pokemon TCG Card” is the default category item. You can just blank out the card rarity so it’s not in the title through title change request. For some reason they just seem to not like gdark though.

Exactly, I just find it fascinating that there is no option or allowance for the addition of the Language of the card(if it wasn’t auto titled with it). A Key piece of information. Some people might think its japanese or thai or whatever. To the untrained eye.
My card I just updated had “Japanese” in the set name. I actually removed it. It said “Japanese Town on No Map”
And they have the feature already in place in their “collection beta”

I agree with this, I havnt had issues with PWCC. The issue with ebay is it is too new. Got to wait till they hopefully weed out the kinks. Just like when a new car model comes out. I feel bad for the OP and it blows my mind the response they received…

Collection beta is your eBay vault. Unless I’m misunderstanding you. That’s where I corrected my card title and then re-listed it.
Edit Or maybe you mean when you are first submitting it to the vault. I think that info is primarily used for the authentication process to them be confirmed.

What’s the difference? Whether you go from the vault screen or collection screen you end up at the same screen. And both show the same thing anyways. At least for me.
Unless one of us is opted into some other dashboard thing. But whether I click on my card from the collection screen or the vault screen it still ends up at the exact same screen.

You arent listening lol I can make any change i want to item in my collection. An item in my vault does not have a language field. So they are not the same. I cannot make any change i want to my vault without approval. And my approval got denied. Idk what your point is, they are two completely different title change experiences
Lol I’m assuming the confusion is because you must have cards in your eBay collection that aren’t in your vault. The only thing in my collection are the cards I put in the vault. So everything is the same whether I access the card from the collection page or the vault page. Which is what I was trying to say.
I made the title change to my card in the vault and it updated the title for the card in my collection as well. You must be referring to things that you can change for a card in your collection not in your vault (which I can’t see).
I just made another title change request today and it was approved within a minute. I’m assuming they must be having AI automate alot of it now. Or it depends on what specifically is being changed.
