Yes I saw that but that guy said its even a fake and was just messing around with photoshop.
It is a piece of paper, you can see the bends/wrinkles on the left side at 0:23.
Also the Illustrator should have gold in the holo. The No. 3 trainer should have a bronze holo with an illustration behind the pikachu.
The money it would cost for materials and the printers to properly print these cards on a holographic layer would be so expensive it wouldn’t even be funny. What he needs to understand is that you don’t simply put a holographic sheet in a printer and click “print”. If do that with an inkject or solid ink printer it will run off. If you do that with a laser printer it, the metallic foil could damage it. Every card is printed buy a third party. Just as Japan uses media factory, TPC USA probably uses a printing firm as well.
In short, whom ever made the video printed the cards on paper and then exacto’ed it and pasted on top of a blank foil card. It may look half convincing in a grainy video, but in person it would be VERY obvious.

I’m not getting a very good feeling about things recently. Between some of us (including me) running after Crinus to stop him slandering UPCCC and crazypokemon somehow managing to get onto the site (how is that even possible if the username is banned too?), I fear that people are getting distracted from what this site is all about.
So, my message to everyone:
- If you are a member of UPCCC already: Congratulations! You are a part of a group containing some of the most knowledgeable collectors in the world. Lets continue to concentrate on that part and ignore the crap that has happened recently.
(To be fair after the giant auction thread opened up I’ve seen lots of people make a real effort so keep that up!)
If you’re becoming disillusioned by recent events, please don’t be. As ever, the admin have your backs. I’m pestering them to do more (and they pester me to stop being a baby and rejoin properly 
), but amongst other things, I know there is this slight feeling of UPCCC not being what it used to be amongst some of you.
My last long post propelled you all to talk more (I am definitely taking all the credit for that ;D 
) - now I think what we really need to do is to get to the same level of respect and excitement as in the good old days. If we get to that level, naturally people are going to want to post more.

If you are merely lurking: Go read another thread! ;D No seriously, there’s a lot of good stuff on this site, and some of the best stuff is hidden until you join. Remember that not everyone here buys cards at the top of the range if that puts you off joining. Despite this thread (and this post), pretty much everyone here is amazing. People are very friendly and will try to help (until you’re both after the same card
) so do join and please do start talking to people. I would love to see even more collections blossom and new connections grow as collecting is becoming more and more popular. -
If you are the ones causing the recent problems: Please stop. No seriously, please. UPCCC isn’t about drama (or it isn’t now that I’m no longer admin ;D). It’s about collecting Pokémon cards. Most people have limited time to devote to this hobby and its a shame some of that time is spent discussing random trolling.
(I actually feel like our response to Crinus was proportionate. Yeah a lot of us got annoyed but from what people are telling me that’s more because you want to demonstrate UPCCC is a great place to be and that he was starting to slander the admin that it dragged on so long. But Reina is totally right - lets just ignore it now, we’ve said our piece)
Same goes for you, crazypokemon. Please don’t attempt to join by adding more usernames. I know from past experience its not fun chasing after you in that way, it just annoys the admin staff and then everyone gets upset. We’ve personally gone through this cycle ourselves many many times. If you want to join (and can convince people you’ve changed), try speaking to the admin privately and see if they’ll reconsider.
Right - that’s enough crap out of me… well not quite. Whilst I’ve come out of hiding again (I do love the melodrama, maybe I’ll just randomly pop up like this every couple of months or so ) a few personal messages:
Please continue to PM me people, I like getting messages (894 and counting, woo-hoo! OMG I’ll cry if someone has more! Does anyone have more?). I even answer them all, even the hard ones about card prices
I still read every single post here. I’m still collecting (not bought anything in two months, but that’s only because of a lack of time and money). Heck, even the Catalogues are making (very very slow) progress. So apart from actually publicly posting, I still feel very much a part of this community.
Oh, and hope you’ve all had a good holidays so far and have a good new years 
(Now I bet you’re all glad I don’t post more often!!!)
