Covid-19/Corona Virus Megathread (Info/Discussion)

Unfortunately I think this will age worse than the DJIA > 25,000 depending on where in the world each person is.

I think we will be lucky in the U.S. for business as usual to return by Fall and it still won’t be the same again for quite some time.

Really naiv to think that imo. The whole world is not on shutdown if this is something that would be over in weeks. And traveling the next year or so is gonna be a major pain

Bavaria/Germany just shut down every public activity except for absolute emergency/necessities for at least two weeks. People have to stay home now.

My wife is working from because of Covid-19. She told a coworker had to go into office because he doesn’t have the internet.

This.

Cuomo issued an executive order mandating that 100% of the non essential workforce stay home. That is either work from home or don’t go to work. Called out by name salons, spas, barbershops, etc. to add to the previous bars, restaurants, bowling alleys, casinos, etc.

I saw something on reddit that Gamestop has contacted stores and informed them of their essential status. It will be interesting to see if/how legal battles may play out in making the distinction between essential vs. non essential. My employer has been deemed essential as we supply a large number of customers that make medical devices among other things related to the medical field.

My university in its entirety just closed all face to face engagement, making the remaining spring semester remote learning only, as well as cancellation of graduation ceremony commencement. Law school was the most dreadful three years of my life, and now I won’t even be able to walk across the stupid stage in front of my family. Obviously I understand that having thousands of older people in one stadium isn’t plausible at this time, but I’m still disgruntled, lol.

F U Covid-19.

I played basketball a few days ago with a close friend and he was at a Kevin Durant autograph session like a week ago and took pics/dapped up KD. KD was confirmed to have Covid-19 two days ago lol.

Two of my coworkers in an open office now have Covid-19 and had it (asymptomatic) while working in the office last week. Thank God I worked from home.

Losing hope can negatively affect outcomes. By the same token, positivity and hopefulness can cause miracles to occur;)

Those of you that are in lock down areas are you still able to send out packages and receive packages?

Yes. Surrounding states are doing non-essential lock down. But so far Mail is still operational.

Thanks Scott guessing it falls under essential, atleast that keeps us guys with online business a float
