I purchased a couple from them in December for $44.99 a piece and now they are charging $69.99 a pack.
Quite the price hike when it seems like boxes have stayed around the same price.

They’ll be up to $100 within a few years. Who knows if anyone will be stupid enough to pay that price though.
$54.99 here
I bought a 5 packs at $49.99 in January. In Feb, they raised the price up to $59.99. At this rate, it’ll be $79.99 next month lol. Of the five packs, surprisingly I pulled 4 holo rares. I suppose they are charging a premium with unweighed packs? The reality is that people are still buying them at this price (I have been keeping an eye on the stock).
I am not surprised. Pack prices have been low on base unlimited. If boxes are selling at 2k, that would be $55 per pack. Even $100 a pack for the original set most collectors grew up with is still affordable.
Less supply; people do open them, people that buy them don’t resell so they’re off the market too. More demand; other collectors entering the market, old collectors adding them to their collections. With all that said you won’t see too many items that are out of production, and in high demand not increase in value till inflation stops happening.
Collector’s cache overprices everything though lol They have high prices compared to most of their competitors.
It’s all supply and demand. If they’re “overselling” at 45.00, and they can get more, who wouldn’t mark them up?
True. 45 is now a cheap price, where as a few months ago it was a premium. Ugh, this makes getting more packs difficult.
Less than 24 hours later and the seller raised price to $65, swear the price hasn’t moved in months until I said something lol
$70 might be pushing it, but it’s still pocket change. I actually think if there’s one thing that hasn’t increased that much when compared to high grade cards it would be sealed product and we’re far from a point where I think these packs are overpriced. Even when we reach $100, that will be less than 1 day of work at minimum wage.
We all know there’s maybe $10 worth of cards in most weighed packs out there regardless of the set, but people have a chance to collect or open a piece of their childhood for very little and as others have said the supply is only going down.
