I don’t have very strict goals but all of these are doing progress slowly:
- Collect all English and Japanese variants of my favorite Pokemon both in binder and as PSA graded. My main focus are Rayquazas, Salamences, Alolan Vulpix and Alolan Ninetales. I’m also doing it slowly for Flygon, Latias, Latios, Groudon, Gardevoir, Ho-Oh and Charizard (though with Charizards I’m not doing all variants for reasons you all probably know lol).
- Complete ex-series sets, this can be a combination of English and Japanese cards (excluding having all Gold Stars but I’ve already picked up my favorite Gold Stars).
- As Japanese sets come out I buy a box and put all the C/U/R cards in a binder in order so they look nice together. I have done this for XY and now SM sets are in progress.
- Buy cards with great artwork

Long term goal is to collect all the Full Art Supporter trainer cards in Japanese, though it’s said that the Japanese ones are more expensive than their English counterparts. So it’ll probably be a while until I’ll reach this goal.

I’d like to eventually get my hands on the Kangaskhan Family Event Trophy Card and the Eevee/Shining Magikarp/Porygon fan club promo set. What can I say? I’m a real sucker for first generation Pokémon and I adore those artworks, holo patterns and the story behind the cards.

Complete set of double colorless champion cards, Lower teir first edition Base holos in psa 10, I’d really really really like a Number 3 trainer worlds trophy card as well.
I’ve also been passively been working on a shadowless binder set as well as a legendary collection reverse set…the trick is I can only include cards I buy from local game stores or face to face deals to complete the sets.

My long term goals.
Complete 1st edition base psa 9 holo set. I’ve got 3 so far…dont have Charizard yet…ouch
Upgrade my natta wake set to include as many 10’s as I can get. Currently have three 9’s and three 10’s.
Complete a masaki set in psa 9. Currently 1/5

Short term: completing 1st edition Gold Star PSA 9/10 (just need a couple more!)
Long term: Binder Collection for WOTC and Japanese Base Jungle Fossil

Short Term: Completed, have all my childhood cards saved, it makes me much happier looking through them each time, rather than buying someones PSA card they procured purely for reselling for profit. If the owner has no previous feeling for the card other than it being a commodity that equates to more money with less weight, then I wouldn’t have much interest in it… even if it is a card I would enjoy personally.
Long Term: Naturally, somehow luckily stumbling across the holo 1st edition charizard, even ungraded, to hold onto forever. It is very far beyond my purchasing ability will ever get, so I guess is a very long term dream dependent on luck, rather than a feasible goal for me to work myself towards completing.
I don’t know brin. I have a feeling someday, maybe soon, you’ll have that treasure in your collection;)

Short term: To finish the Nissui series 1 set.
Long term: A base set booster box, finish 1st edition base set and maybe another trophy card.
Dream: Khan Trophy/Prize card.

Short term: Find the Japanese unlimited edition World Championship Pack Seviper and Battle Frontier to finish my Seviper collection, and the sealed Australian Game Boy Color Moltres to finish my Moltres #21 WotC variations collection.
Long term: Complete my Pikachu collection and keep it complete for every future release. (And same for my Seviper, Mimikyu, Moltres #21 WotC Promo, Full Art Supporters, and National Index including forms collections.)

Short term: Get a few more psa 10 ex cards from hidden legends so i can count those as “done” in my excel file.
Long term: Maybe an ex emerald booster box, its one of my favorite sets from that era back when i was a kid.
Complete PSA10 sets of the holo rares/ex cards from all the sets between Sandstorm to power keepers.
I never saw the goldstars when i was a kid so i’m not so interrested in those sadly. Maybe a goldstar Kyogre if i get a lucky break economically.
(Yes, i am including reverse holos due to their incredible look).

So nice to see the diversity of collection goals! Expected way more “completing PSA 10 1st Base” tbh
For my mid term goals, I want the complete Vending Series, the holos of the Red/Green Gift Set and also every card Kimiya Masago has ever illustrated (only 18, but most are holos and every single one is a banger!)
Long term I want a booster pack of every Japanese set from Base - E-Series because the artwork on these packs itself are worthy to be collected. I can only assume most people don’t know about these beauties, otherwise they’d appear much more commonly on e4.
And also, completely unrelated, a Shining Magikarp and Gyarados from Revelation.
