Charizard EX 199 (SV 151 Full art)

Hi everyone,

I saw that the Charizard EX 199 is starting to go up in price. Is there a reason for this?

market manipulation i believe is the cause

Got it. Do you believe prices will come down again and will there be a reprint?

what’s the evidence?

Ebbs and Flows of the market, which is pretty standard with how high end modern cards are treated now a days. I’d expect it to come down, and then go up again. The general trend line will result in a steady, solid increase over time.

Also yes, a reprint will have an effect on the price in the short term. I’d also bet that we will see at least 1 more reprint of 151.

It’s looking like the pump and dump we saw with alts in August. They’re all back to pre pump levels now pretty much. Maybe everyone decided it was undervalued on the same day. But I have some magic beans to sell those people

I’m sure the Venusaur and Blastoise will jump up too, maybe not as high as the Charizard.

I’ve pulled it twice, I am sure I’ll pull it again lol jk
Hope it comes back down in the next month or two.

Wondered when this would get its own thread lol

Good ol fashioned stonk on Blastoise too

Easy peasy

Venusaur as well

I don´t think it will come down. Look at the Umbreon from Evolving Skies. I think Pokémon (and especially 151) is in an upward trend.

It´s also interesting to note that the other Charizards (Obsidian Flames and Paldean Fates) are also going up.

Yeah the general trend will be up, but It’ll definitely dip by some amount in the near future. That pretty much always happens after a rapid rise in price. Whether it’ll be a major or minor correction is yet to be seen.

Yeah, small corrections could be the case. But it wouldn´t surprise me as well if it just keeps going up.

Umbreon fell for 4 months after peaking. Of course it was only a minor retrace relative to how much it grew.

The Japanese version increased for a year and then went back basically to 2022 prices

Not all cards are going to be a Moonbreon. Even Japanese Moonbreon couldn’t be a Moonbreon.

The sooner this trend word is buried the better

The better example is brilliant stars Charizard V

And I’m telling you guys this. Not my opinion:

There are several private groups who actively discuss which cards to buy up, what price to stop buying and what price to sell. This is an obvious pump for the holiday season

Geez, I didn’t know Moonbreon was that much raw.

True. I´m looking at it in a bigger picture I guess, but strictly there was a retrace.

Not every card is a Moonbreon, but, I think this Charizard has a good chance. At the same time, I wouldn´t buy it at this price.
